Summary: What I was missing...
Review: I have always said, "I will be rich." I never really knew how, but this book has really helped fine tune my financial perspective. It has changed everything about how I view money. I am in college right now, and I will be graduating within the next couple years. I had never been taught this kind of thinking before, I just knew I did not want to be stuck in the "rat race," and have always wanted to have/own my own business. I recommend this book as a starting point for anyone who is curious about what their financial plan should be like. I am about to purchase another book by the author to further expand my financial intelligence, as well as some of the other books he has recommended. Thanks to Mr. Kiyosaki for helping me how to start out my financial life and "mind my business." Great book!

Summary: My HUMBLE Opinion, that isn't so Humble
Review: This book is a huge dissapointment. Kiyosaki and Lechter managed to waste about a week of my time. This book is 207 pages long. 204 pages of it is not worth reading. What I should have done, is just read the titles of all the chapters, I would've learned just as much. I really regret buying, reading, and ever even hearing about this book. In fact I have some far better business advice to offer everyone out there.... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! The only thing this book will do for you is make you 15 dollars poorer.

Summary: Review
Review: Athough not the most spell-binding book I have read, it does a good job informing and explaining to the reader how to make money. I found the book interesting while motivating me to read other books of finacial literacy.

Summary: Money and what a teenager thinks of it
Review: Well...considering I am a teenager reading this book, I was very impressed. A teenager's ability to sit and read a book without being tempted to wander off into their own world is highly likely, but this book read like a story with an important message. It explained the differences between rich people and poor people in such a way that even I wanted to continue reading. Maybe a teenager's mind might wander because they feel like they don't have to worry about money, but this book explains the importance of knowing what you wnat to become, a Rich Man, or a Poor Man. At the age of nine, Kiyosaki knew who he wanted to become, and with this book he helped me realize what I must do in order to become who I want to be.

Summary: This book changed me!
Review: I have 15 books on my bookshelf that are supposed to help me get rich. While I feel confident that I am "on the road", this book gave me a swift kick in the butt!

The author uses a hard hitting, honest approach to getting rich. He does not sugar coat anything, or give any hokey get rich quick schemes.

He points out the difference in the way poor people and rich people allocate their resources. Each dollar you receive is a choice. The poor spend it on material. The rich spend it on assets that will utlimately lead to passive income. The most useful part of the book is that it points out the relationship between an individual's income statement AND balance sheet. You will find yourself relating to all the examples in the book.

Many of his wealth examples have to do with his experience making millions in real estate. The concept is the same. If you want to get rich, you need to (1) not be an employee, (2) have your own business that spins off passive income, and (3) focus on the "asset" column in your financial statements.

This book has changed my way of thinking. I am more committed to thinking differently than the herd of sheep that are out there. Instead of taking what life gives you, living paycheck to paycheck, and keeping up with the Joneses.....learn a new approach. You will not be sorry!

Summary: VERY VERY GOOD BOOK!
Review: Opened my eyes to some of the bad habits I had when it came to Finance. BUY THIS BOOK!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tremendous eye opener
Review: This book is a very pleasant read that I just couldn't put down. An invaluable asset in expanding your horizons when it comes to personal finance and getting rich. NOT a get rich quick book but more of a "How the Rich think" book.

Summary: A Wealth of Information
Review: This is a life changing book (if you'll allow it). While I somtimes cringed at the thought of "poor dad" ever knowing that his biological son is criticizing his philosophies and beliefs in regard to money, the book really hit home some hard truths about financial management, developing new paradigms and integrating new ways of taking action in order to begin building wealth.

Learn to think and act like a millionaire by putting aside old ideas about where and how to achieve financial success, not by just reading this book but by following through with behavioral and mental changes as the world of getting rich beckons you!

Summary: One of the Best Personal Finance Books Available
Review: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" is always one of the first books I recommend to my financial planning clients. By contrasting the financial principles he was taught by his rich dad to those of his poor dad, Kiyosaki manages to teach his reader the secrets of effective money management in an easy to understand and entertaining manner. Although Kiyosaki does make several specific recommendations, his primary emphasis is on general principles of creating wealth rather than the "how-to" approach of other books. The book also offers a large motivational benefit for anyone with an entrepreneurial interest. The one flaw in this book is that Kiyosaki advocates a relatively high-risk approach to money management that may not be suitable for every reader.

Summary: The stand points of the author may not agreeable to everyone
Review: It is easy to read but not really easy to understand. This book started with an interesting beginning introducing why the author wanted to be rich and how he figureed out the way he could be rich. This arouse my interest. Then, i have found most of the time the author reminds the reader to invest in assets and keeps reducing liabilities without explains it clearly how to achieve this point. The author emphasizes on investment strategy because he has won many battles in investing assets. However, i have found this mostly due to his fortune. In addition, his definitions of assets and liabilities are not clear because he used little example to explain the differences between these two.
He discouraged people not to use the money they've borrowed from others to invest in assets. Yet, as i have seen, what he did in the book it's just what he told people not to do!
Honestly speaking, his stand points were not consistent through the whole book. Those stand points may not be applicable in every country and in any period.
Nevertheless, i can learn there is ways to get rich from the author. The pictures shown in the book also helped me to understand the cash flow well.
