Summary: Good beginning. Getting worse and worse towards the end.
Review: My eyes really opened when I read the first few chapters of the book. Wow... I thought, I never knew it is so easy to become a millionaire.

Half thru the book an uneasiness began to creep into my heart. I started to notice that he is being conflicted with himself a lot of places throughout the book. Especially because he has earned many millions not long after he graduated (a porsche after the 8th years he worked at Xerox) but then not longer after that he was homeless (1985). I couldn't imagine what I will become in 20 years if I follow his advices wholeheartedly.

Nonetheless, this book does make some valid points, like live below your means (not always consistent in the book), start investing earlier and pay more attention to your finances and the opportunities around you. But I agree that all these things can be said in 20 pages without all the boasting. I am starting to believe that he become a millionaire only after this "get rich quick" book is published.

Summary: READ THIS BOOK
Review: Kiyosaki's book is excellent. I recommend everyone to read it, for it has changed the way I think about money and life as a whole.

Very well written and easy to understand.

Summary: Reinforcing what we already know. I love it!
Review: I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad twice then I got the audio version so I could go over it as many times as I want. Great motivation. I would like to purchase the game"cash flow". Anyone know where to find it?

Summary: Excellent for beginners;Simplistic for experienced investors
Review: I went to Robert's seminar in DC, and it was quite good. He summarized very well about what all this books talk about. Yes, his writing style is very informal and conversational. That makes it very easy for me to absorb investment concepts which have been foreign to me, such as assets/liabilities and passive income.

However, if you are knowledgeable about investing, this book will not be for you. It is like taking a well-taught 101 college accounting course with a MBA degree under your belt. It does not matter how good the instructor is, and it would still be boring because you know your stuff already.

Summary: Now everything I knew is so incredibly clear!
Review: Ok, I admit that Robert Kiyosaki doesn't share anything new. I will admit that you don't need a book (or audio CD) to know the simple truths in this book. But what this book does that I have never seen before is to clarify and motivate.

Clarify: The simple truths in this book are described in such a simple and effective way that I found myself saying "How come I didn't remember that from school?" I may have known the principles in this book on an intuitive level, but this book brought the ideas to the very front of my daily consious thought.

Motivate: Kiyosaki's experiences and anecdotes made me smile and appreciate the learning process that everyone must go through. The simple truths and outstanding optimism for financial growth made me feel like I could be a millionaire tommorrow. Of course, that isn't very probable, but it "awakens my financial genius" as Kiyosaki puts it.

I will warn that sometimes, Kiyosaki can be repetative. At first, I was a little annoyed but I quickly realized that some of the repetition was necessary. The points that were repeated are the points that I remember most.

Summary: Could have been said in 20 pages
Review: Several hundred pages of 'Buy assets. Don't buy liabilities. Go look for good investments rather than sitting around and drinking beer all the time. People who aren't rich are only not rich because they don't choose to be rich, so use them to help you get rich since they won't think for themselves.' It has some useful info, but no more than 20 pages worth.

Summary: Great Book
Review: Loved the book, it snaps you out of the thinking that all you can do is work for someone else and gives you confidence to go out on your own. After reading all the books, I bought the board game, (cashflow 101)
I wrote a review on the game which you can check out at ...

Summary: Reed vs. Kiyosaki
Review: This book gets 5 stars for being inspirational and 0 stars for financial advice. Read it as you'd read all books, with doubt.
John T Reed, another successful individual, provides a critial response to rich dad, poor dad here ...
I just wished every book came with a critique.

Summary: There is only one shortcut to Success - Get Educated!
Review: Robert T Kiyosaki is one of the finest financial teachers I have every seen. The way he teaches the basics of financing is amazing. The book though looks very different and appealing but it talks about the same old principals that every financial expert talked about.

The wisdom Robert gave us through this book is that teaching the technical financial literacy to even a person who hates the topic could be so easy and simple. It is just the way you see things that they look to you.

The concept of passive / portfolio income and the fundamentals of diversification are explained in such simple terms that even a child can understand them, in fact Robert understood them as a child. And if you have the right sources you can guide your children in the right directions and teach them the basics of financial literacy through the help of this book.

He has touched all the sensitive topics one requires for success so beautifully that you wont even realize when they came and went. And the best part is you will understand everything just as perfectly as a technical financial expert would. He spoke about diversifying, broadening, systems, marketing, selling, financial understanding, education system, and many other including the most powerful income known as Passive / Portfolio / Residual income. The bottom line is - There is only one shortcut to success, Get Educated!

Education is not what you gain in school or college, because that's become a necessity of the society and everyone is doing that. Education is how you groom yourself in your own way, which no one else in your college or school is doing. What is your USP? If you are studying medicine, everyone in your class or even in your industry is doing that. Are you taking a step further and getting yourself educated in the field of management, psychology, engineering, travel industry, state consultancy, economics, etc. To one, this might sound absurd, but this is what Robert talks about - we should know what's happening in and around us, we should be open to new ideas, teachings, and new subjects. By studying medicine you are doing the same thing that hundred other classmates are doing, if you want to be different then do something more than just studying medicine. It is only the knowledge that can take you further.

Always remember: Leaders are Readers!

And there is Only One Shortcut to Success: Get Educated!

All the best and enjoy the book to its fullest. The book contains age-old wisdom modified in a manner that even your 7-year old child can understand what one means by financial literacy and financial independence.

Good Luck and All The Best!

Happy Reading!
