Rating: Summary: What the liberal media don¿t want you to hear. Review: Coulter says all the things that the liberal media don't want you to hear. She speaks with refreshing candor, and hits the nail on the head so often that it is funny, really funny! In the liberal lexicon, this isn't just "hate speech", it's thought crime! Right now, the disconnect between the mainstream media and mainstream America is widening. After the last elections, it is abundantly clear that the general public can see through the Liberal media charade. Yet the Mainstream Media (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party), continues to try to fool all of the people all of the time. Yet the only people they manage to fool are themselves, as they continue to lose elections.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: I loved this book. 3 people have borrowed it from me and they all loved it as well. The only complaint I had about the book was the footnotes seemingly on every page - but I eventually grew to appreciate the markings as it was very obvious great care was taken in the researching and verifying of facts for the book. I recommend it to all Americans - especially Liberals!
Rating: Summary: An Eye Opener Review: Ann drops the gloves and comes out swinging against the liberal dominated media in the U.S. Anyone who has ever watched the news or read a newspaper can immediately identify with the various topics covered in this book. From the way the uber-leftists conduct personal smear campaigns against their detractors to the time tested media portrayals of the "smart" democrat-"dumb" republican, Miss Coulter tells it like it is. A great eye-opening experience.
Rating: Summary: The absolute truth!!! Review: This book is great. It is refreshing to read the opinion of a woman, like myself, that is conservative. The only women who seem to speak openly about politics are those leaning extremely left. Ann Coulter hits the nail right on the head in 90% of what she says. More liberals should read this book, they might change the way they think. I wish this book would have been around during my liberal, jobless, bleeding-heart college days. I might have had a wake up call earlier.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Ann Shoots & Scores! Review: A great book that exposes the liberal bias and slander. Ann clearly spells out the liberal agenda and how they will use slander to meet their aims. Buy this important book!
Rating: Summary: This book proves that 95% of the press is liberal Review: Ann Coulter does a great job at proving the case that 95% of the press has a liberal bias. Her wit alone is worth buying this book. Her intellect is outstanding. Her examples of how CBS, NBC, ABC, NY Times, LA Times, CNN, MSNBC, and PBS are extremely left wing bias are overwhelming. Buy this book.
Rating: Summary: Nothing original in this book! Review: There is definitely nothing original in this book. The reasons: (1) liberals have not conceived of one original idea since Karl Marx; (2) everything in this book has been said by the person(s) to whom the quotation(s) is ascribed and taken in exact context; and (3) it is not necessary to create these people, they're all manifestly around us and have been with us for quite a while. If the first item were not true, today's socialists would not be shriller as they attempt to obfuscate, mystify, and impress us all with their same old snake oil, or as Ann would say, their proported elixir for the huddled masses. If the second item were not true, the same socialistic distributionists would own the very plaster-board nails in Ann's living room as well as the shirt on her back. It would take the next millenium to settle all the libel cases against her well-documented and footnoted bibliography. The third reason is self-evident. At the risk of slightly denigrating Ann Coulter's book, let me say that anyone could have obtained the information that she presents in her book by just doing some research and having one's left-ear with its left-spiraling cochlea tuned in to the constant strident cacophony of the socialist-left available on NPR, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NYT, BBC, AFL-CIO, ACLU, NOW, UN, PTA, SLA, SDS, BPP, NOI, NAACP, ad nauseum, ad nausea. Who has to create lies when these individuals are all around us and possess so many avenues to express their eructions, I mean, ideas? What Ann Coulter really demonstrates in this book, is her amazing ability to collate the myriad of pertinent and salient data apropos to her subject matter, and to organize them in a comprehensive, cohensive, and most enjoyable venue. She does this is such a manner that further weaves and expands the incongruent fabric of liberalism and is replete with incisive and well-placed repartee. It was a most enjoyable read on my vacation and I recommend this book to anyone who wants to just sit back, let Ann take over, and enjoy the experiences of: (1) learning the lexicon and code words of the demagogues of the religion of liberalism; (2) marveling at the erudition and cosmopolitesse of the atheistic left as it attempts to blame the intolerant religious right; (3) transfiguring and subliming as the staunch defenders of pornography attempt to stifle freedom of speech on the internet, in conservative books, and talk radio. My hat is off to a hard-working, extremely intelligent, and vivacious American (who just happens to be a Euro-who-graduated-from-a-liberal-university-American-conservative-woman). Hope springs eternal.
Rating: Summary: Right On Annie! Review: Hey, give this gal a microphone and let her rip. And this ain't even the whole story. To see what a great job American business is doing of putting the world to rights you just GOTTA read "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser - and why not grab yourself a Big Mac, fries and Coke to keep your energy up while your at it. They're the best!
Rating: Summary: The fox shows her teeth... Review: A ravishing goddess, indeed, but it is what lies under the hood that makes this woman such a force to be reckoned with. Coulter not only has a devastatingly entertaining style, but she does her homework, big time, which makes her arguments unassailable. Having nailed Billy Bob Clinton in High Crimes, Coulter takes on the entire hypocrisy-laden Liberal camp. We all remember how the Libs, including feminists such as Gloria Steinem were desperately trying to avoid a condemnation of Billy Bob's Monica fiasco. Shameful. This guy not only betrayed his wife (and some of us still think that is despicable behaviour), he disgraced the office of The Presidency by getting Executive Relief from a cheap tramp - in the Oval Office, if memory serves. Could you imagine the Red... sorry... Liberal outcry if George Bush had been caught out in similar circumstances? The Right has its share of questionables, too, such as the nutters who dance around burning Harry Potter books. No thanks, lads, we saw enough of book-burning in Nazi Germany. Yet Coulter is no extremist, and having meticulously exposed the Liberals for what they are, she slaughters them page after page. This is a stand up and cheer book for those who have had enough of what we might collectively term "The Liberals", who have always relied on cheap shots and sneering ridicule instead of practical policies and true values. A fine job, ma'am.
Rating: Summary: Can't Hide From These Facts Review: Ann Coulter, is at her hard-hitting best as she exposes not only the hypocrisy and bias of certain liberals, but their regular use of outright lies to promote their agenda and demonize Republicans. How low will the establishment media go to discredit those who disagree with them.? It's a lot worse than you could have imagined. The exact quotes are here for everyone to see. There is no way that one can read this book and not be amazed at the lack of journalistic integrity demonstrated by many in the "news" media. Coulter's keen wit and take-no-prisoners writing style make this an easy read.
