Summary: What a gripping book
Review: With the steady parade of bad news over the past four years, it was refreshing to remember America at its best. What damage the conservative movement has done to this nation in such a short time. This book reveals the beginning of their unmasked aggregiousness and explores the roots of the ruling class who hates America, as President Bush says, "for our freedoms".

Contrast this book with "Treason", Ann Coulter's assault on Christian values. It's like the difference between Champagne and dirty bathwater.

Summary: I Liked the picture's; the one on the cover is very good.
Review: I liked the pictures; the one on the cover is very good. The photographer did a great job. I expecially enjoyed the grizzly Adams shot of Bill. We all have photos like that; the ones that we forget about. And say; "was that me."

Hillary looks great on the cover.

Now regarding what Hillary says in her book.

As they say "it's my turn". Hillary shares her feelings about Monica, Linda Tripp and Bill's assorted bimbo's. She makes known her vision for the future of America.

I would have to say in Hillary's defense; if she plugged Bill right between the eye's no jury in this land would vote to convict her. Neither would I.

Folks, we lived through eight years of the Clinton White House.
There is no new revelation's. Except, Hillary's view of what went on.

I believe as a historical record it an important slice of the inside of Bill Clinton's Presidency. It does fill in some of the gaps. What will be interesting is what history says about her.

I tip my hat to her, as one author to another on her book's success.

As to her politics; we're 180 degree's apart.

Summary: If you can get it for free, then... maybe.
Review: I read a friend's review copy and the whole book is so... calculated... it was like a reading an endless photo op. I could almost hear each of her writer's questioning themselves afer each sentence if the got the desired affect. The only thing that was missing was Eric von Stroheim at the bottom of the staircase, directing.

Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: Finally a rsponse to the years of attacks from the dittoheads. This is a great book and anyone remotely interested in history (and reality) should BUY IT and read it cover to cover. Buy an extra for your dittohead friends and drive them nuts!

Summary: Funny and warm
Review: Engaging and chock-full of warm, affectionate, amusing anecdotes about historical figures -- from Jackie O, to Nelson Mandela to Gerald Ford.

What I find most intriguing is how utterly non-controversial the book is. Given the visciousness of some of the reader reviews (by individuals who so clearly didn't even bother to read the book!), I was expecting some shrillness, smugness, or naked aggression on her part. Instead, she simply puts forward her thoughts in a calm, collected and even forgiving manner.

Something else I found absolutely fascinating. She goes to great lengths to ensure that she thanks everyone who contributed their work, opinion, research and thoughts to the book. The acknowledgements are pages and pages long. Clearly she inspires tremendous loyalty from friends, associates and subordinates. It's interesting that not one of them has ever uttered a harsh word against her. The vitriolic hatred for HRC only ever comes from those individuals who don't know her nor have even met her. I'd say that reveals far more about her critics than it does about her.

Summary: Self-promotion, most of which was written by others.
Review: You may be entertained, but don't expect historical accuracy. The only time you will ever get the truth from this author is when the truth is more effective than a lie.

Summary: Not at this time....
Review: It's interesting. I read her book out of fear. I'll admit I don't like the chick. It was interesting how she feels that she manipulated things for her own gain, but missed her husband getting happy with an intern. How is that even possible. Back to the book... It stinks. Please. On Larry King she was asked if she was going to run for President. Her response... The same one she gave while first lady when she was asked about running for any office. Hillary is good at two things... Revisionism and Manipulation.

Summary: More like Living Fantasy
Review: I was seriously annoyed by the blatant fabrications of this book. For example, there is no question that she knew about the affairs before she said she did, because she knew they had taken Bill's DNA. She's a lawyer! What did she think it was for? Did Bill really believe the DNA wouldn't prove something?

Why not go ahead and be honest about things. Telling the world that Bill was a liar isn't going to be news. Pretending she didn't know he's a liar is ridiculous. Wht not admit that the marriage is on the rocks and they never see each other? Why not admit that she knew her career would have been ruined if they got a divorce?

Hillary doesn't really admit her own failings. She glosses over the reasons it was so easy for the right to demonize them; the travel office deal with the agent that covered their campaign expenses when they were broke, the attempt to put control of healthcare under a person with no medical or public service background, the claims that she was a "co-President"...

Sorry, but we heard the "vast right wing conspiracy" excuse for 8 years. If you want to get our respect, start holding yourself accountable.

What a disappointment.

Summary: A disappointment
Review: It seems most people, like me, expected some genuine personal insight into Hillary's life and mind with this book. As it turns out, she seems to be targeting an audience that wants dullness -- dullness as a security blanket, to confirm that she is not a broken, disgraced, or hysterical wife, but rather a staid, ponderous politician. And ponderous describes this book perfectly. Most of it is genuinely uninteresting, and it is difficult to read through in its entirety.

Summary: History to Spin
Review: The book started out well giving background from the past, etc.
But as the book moved forward, it seemed to leave the good natured story type of book and started to elude or try to deflect on several things. It did that more and more as I progressed through the book. If it would have continued in the same way that it began seemingly honest and forthright I would have given it more stars, but I feel that I just paid $ for a book of "spin". I always like to be fair and give a person or their book a chance. But that is hard when you can even detect a change in the books rehortic. Did James Carvel have anything to do with this book?

I will give it one star for trying. Writing a book is hard, but I don't think that hard.
