Summary: Thoroughly Fun
Review: After reading the first book of the Chandler trilogy (The Bachelor), I wasn't expecting much. So much to my surprise that I found myself thoroughly enjoying this encounter with the middle brother.

Both Rick and Kendall are entertaining characters that you can feel their struggles and fears and love. I absolutely loved the antics of Kendall, alone and with her sister, and I felt the struggle as she tried to help her sister, Hannah. Also the couple `living in sin' were really fun and quirky characters.

I found myself zipping through this book, which was a welcome surprise, since I had to force myself a few times to get through the Bachelor.

This is the quirkiest of the trilogy and by far the most enjoyable. A solid 5 out of 5.

Review: Again, this was a great love story. It had everything, love, frustration, humor, and of course sex! I will be reading The Heartbreaker next, and when I am done with that one I will be weepy to end the Chandler Brother's trilogy!

Summary: Fun & light reading
Review: Hey, I enjoyed it! Rick Chandler is the town's policeman that is good looking, single (married only months before divorced), respected, well liked- just an all around heart throb! In fact every single woman in town is after his buns! ha, ha!!! And he is dodging them right a left. That is until Kendall Sutton drives up in town literally after leaving her own wedding before the "I do's" were said. Rick is called out by 911 to check on her and loses his heart when he arrives. Kendall, who comes from a disfunctional family and has never been in one place very long, finds acceptance and love making it almost impossible to move on. Then comes the complications.

It is full of fun and warm fuzzy feelings. Sweet story that keeps you attention- I highly recommend it! Now I am going to have to go back and read Book #1 The Bachelor!

Summary: Rating the Playboy
Review: I absolutely loved this book! I could not put it down.

The premise of Kendall, the runaway bride (who by the way is still wearing her wedding gown when she is rescued from her car by a gorgeous law enforcement officer, Rick Chandler) really draws you into the book. They chemistry between the two characters is palpable and you just can't put the book down!

The way Kendall settles into living in a small town and nestles in amongst the town's people to make a life for herself and her younger sister is very sweet. And it gets sweeter when she gets together with Rick. He is the most eligible bachelor in town and everybody wants him, but nobody holds a candle to Kendall in that department, not as far as Rick is concerned.

The Playboy was the first Carly Phillips novel that I have ever read. After seeing a review for this book in Cosmo, I had to have it. If all of Carly Phillips' books have the same page turning appeal that The Playboy does, then I will be reading every book she writes from now on.

After reading this book, I think every woman will want a Rick Chandler of their very own.

Summary: Great love story!
Review: I enjoyed this book. It was hard for me to put down. I felt like I knew the characters and couldn't wait to see how thing turned out.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I picked up this book after reading all the rave reviews and I guess it must be me, because I certainly can't say I loved it. The storyline was pretty good and I really liked the characters but had enough of Kendall's constant hashing back and forth as to whether or not she could commit to staying put. That seemed to be a third of the book and it got old really fast.

Summary: From Sceptic to Hooked
Review: My best friend gave me this book when we went on our summer vacation... I had a slew of other books to choose from, but she insisted I read The Playboy instead. Not only did I stay up until 2am finishing the novel, but I became hooked on the characters' lives and eager to read the other stories in the Chandler Brothers' Trilogy!

This book can be considered predictable, but certainly not dull! To anyone who is used to using clues to unravel a mystery, some of the plotlines in this story may seem quite obvious; however, the frustration that is shown between the two main characters (Rick Chandler and Kendall Sutton) as they debate with themselves over their budding relationship can be understood by anyone who has ever tried to convince themselves they are not in love.

This novel stands alone and it is certainly not necessary to read the other books of the trilogy. However, after reading one, nothing will stop me from going out and snatching up the others, just as quickly as I read this one! A+ and then some for this book!!! HAPPY READING! :)

Summary: Aims to snatch your heart at first sight
Review: The sophomore entry to Carly Phillip's runaway bestseller The Bachelor ushers the readers into the heart of Yorkshire Falls where the Chandler Brothers with their famous matchmaking mama Raina lives. After uniting Roman the globe-trotting journalist with Charlotte, Raina now set sights on her second son sheriff Rick Chandler hyped as "The Playboy" due to his popularity with the local girls including the overzealous schoolteacher Lisa. Yet destiny dictates that he meets a runaway bride Kendall Sutton on a SOS call who has come to Yorkshire with the intention of selling her aunt Crystal's house away before moving on to Arizona.

The romance between an itinerant soul and a wounded heart hurt by a foiled marriage holds the hefty emotional baggage and obstacle here. Kendall secretly yearns to settle down but believes that like her peripatetic parents - she could never have a real home. Rick, meanwhile is afraid to risk his heart. Carly Phillips brings heart and poignancy to this frothy romance with her ensemble of amicable characters like the good-natured Raina and Kendall's abandoned sister Hannah. The overwhelming chemistry between Kendall and Rick compensates for the lack of surprises here but without the bog of exposition as in the first episode, The Playboy runs along smoother and better. It aims to snatch your heart at first sight.
