Summary: The world according to Dave
Review: How the Hell did Van Halen Ever Let this man go all I can say is there loss is the worlds gain. I'm a professional musician myself and reading Daves book just made me want to get on the road again. The fun the frolicking and not to mention some of the other F words too. Diamond Dave's view on rock'n'roll, Van Halen and the Krell wars is refreshing, honest and very very funny. This was the quickest book I ever read and as soon as I finished I picked it up and read it all over again, I have recommended this book to every one I know and now I recommend it to you. And Dave if your reading this thank you I'm back recording and gigging with renewed vigour and it's partly down to you and of course alot of my own natural talent, keep up the good work I think it's time for another album.

Summary: The Best read ever! I couldn't put it down!
Review: What a great book! Dave could have bashed the vanhasbeen bros., but he didn't. He also could have gone on about his numerous sexual encounters with beautiful, buxum, babes (I would have mentioned both women I've been with, if I penned a book). But Diamond Dave is all class! Sure he points the finger now & then, but the first finger he points, is at himself. I read the whole book in a day (& I'm no scholar). It makes you laugh, cry, and horny too! I couldn't put the damn book down! Can't wait for round #2!! Thanks Diamon Dave, You are the King!!!!

Review: if you are a true vh fan read this book

Summary: Classic Diamond Dave!
Review: Finally we get to hear Dave's side of the story! There are two kinds of people in this world, those who sided with Dave, and those who sided with those Drunk, egotistical Van Halen brothers! But don't think that this book is an attempt to Bash ED and Al because it's not. It's life perceived through the eyes of THE greatest frontman in the history of rock & roll. It's great insight into the vegabond spirit, and gypsy soul that is David Lee Roth. I read the last half of this book on a flight home from Tahiti and did not want the book to end. The book also has alot of Great pictures from the Classic Van Halen days. A great read! Thanks for everything Dave!

Summary: Crazy From The Heat or How Diamond Dave is a true legend!
Review: From the moment you pick up this tome, you will have a very hard time putting it down. I found myself finishing it in record time. The stories, the adventures, the life, make this the story of a living legend. He's not just a Star, who has influenced 2 generations including his former back up band (let's face it, Dave is second to no one), he's got wit and brains to match. He's a man of brilliance, especially in ways that I hadn't expected. The guy is a genius. This is the real power and glory behind what was once Van Halen. Dave you are the man!!

Summary: An insight to Dave's mindset.
Review: I just got through with this book. Overall it was an easy read and gives you insight into Dave's philosophy and way of thinking. He always sees the glass half full and his stories inspire me to do the same. His message seems to be "think BIG!!" and enjoy the ride.

Summary: All in all,good
Review: There were good parts in the book, where Dave talks about his experiences in detail. But he talked about things that really did not need to be said.Sure we want to hear about the Van Halen years and how they joined, but after Van Halen,Dave doesn't once mention Steve Vai,Billy Sheehan,Jason Becker,Terry Kilgore etc.He skipped those years and jumped into the VH reunion.I was looking forward to Dave talking about his solo years where he was reclused in a way.And how MTV and radio stations never give him airplay. He also didn't give us any word on any Van Halen unreleased songs or solo stuff for that matter.(ok.he did mention he had a bunch of stuff)So why not put some of that stuff out?Is Van Halen the only person(s)who have the rights to those unreleased songs? How about the songs that were never put out with Vai,or Becker? Anyway he did give some very good hinsight. He also should have had more photos.Come on,we're talking about a legend here. So Dave,Please write another one with more depth and clarity, and more photos please. How about a photo book? There tons and tons of photos of you.Now that would be VERY successful.

Summary: The greatest story ever told.
Review: This book really is the greatest story ever told. If you like Dave, you will love this book. If you like old Van Halen, you will love this book. If you once liked Dave, but don't any more, you will love this book. If your just a little bit curious, but don't read this book, then I think your missing out on something way cool. This was the funnest, coolest, (non-fiction) story that I have ever read.

Summary: Great music, great guy, average book.
Review: I love the six VH albums with Dave, but this book was a huge disappointment. Read "Full Moon" is you want a great Rock Biography.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Crazy From The Heat Rocks!!! Nobody can top Diamond Dave!
Review: I read this book in record time! Dave tells it like it is in this book. He doesn't hide behind any crap like "other" VH members. For anyone who is a fan, I would recommend this book. It is non stop from start to finish. Dave has done with his life, what most of us would like to do. He just has the balls to tell about it. Diamond Dave will live forever in my heart!!
