Summary: An 11th hour wake up call
Review: Before you dismiss Mr. Duke (based on the character assassination in the media), take time to read his book. Remember, there's always two sides to every story. Question: why do many people today lament the decline in respect and morality in this country? Read this book, and you'll get some of the answers. The fact is, and this is not in dispute, that Jewish people are the heads of, or in position of power in, all the major news and entertainment companies. Is there anything wrong in this? Well, on its face no, until you discover that most of the people in question are Zionist or Zionist-sympathic. The impact of this is that they are, by and large, anti-Christian. That explains why many things are the way they are in this society. Is it 'anti-semitic' to talk this way? As David says, that label is applied to short-circuit any meaningful debate on the subject. It's the 'kiss of death' in this society, is it not? After reading the book, one could say that Mr. Duke is a 'separatist', not a 'supremist'. He makes use of historical documents referencing the thinking of the people who founded this country. Those (white) men were quite visionary, and they foresaw the problems that would arise if black and white had to co-exist as equals in this society. Mr. Duke's indictment of the civil rights movement is excellent. Is the black man truly better off now? Oh, on average he may be wealthier, but look at the devastation wrought on the black family. Every American should read this book, if for no other reason than to see the 'other side of the story'. Then, armed with both sides of the issue(s), one can make reasoned judgements. Please don't dismiss this book without opening the cover; the 'powers that be' would, of course, want you to do exactly that. What's wrong, are they afraid of what you might learn?

Summary: I mostly agree, but here is some some criticism
Review: I found this book to be very thought-provoking and in a practical way. I agree that this book will help to change the course of history once more and more people read it. While it is a thorough and complete book, I expect (and look forward to reading) more books by this author.
In this book, Duke writes that he "idolized men like...Abraham Lincoln." Yet earlier he said "I couldn't admit to having a family member, even a remote ancestor, who hailed from...Massachusetts. That was just too far North." I find it hard to believe that any "Son of the South" idolizes president Lincoln. Could it be that he only idolized Lincoln for his racial views? The main racial focus is between blacks and whites. What about hispanics and asians? On page 104 Duke nervously tries to explain away the question of whether or not Asians are "higher up on the evolutionary ladder" than whites. He does not go into detailed, convincing debate about this, leaving the issue open that maybe they are. On p113 he writes about Issac Asimov's listing of 1500 greatest achievements, which he says includes no black achievements. He then says Asimov's listing supports his thesis even more strongly because Asimov believed in racial equality. But Duke doesn't explain the reason for this apparent contradiction. There must have been some reason why Asimov beleived this despite his listing. This book may exaggerate the effects of race on the individual and society, like when he writes, "There Is Only One Issue: There is only one issue that is vital to every other one: race." But nearly all other mainstream sources totally ignore and deny that race has an effect on anything or even exists. While this book makes a compelling case for this cause, it does not make a convincing case that the cause will succeed. There's much more to be said, as to how and why this cause will succeed. While Duke writes of his wife as "the person I cared most about in the world" and preaches about family values, he admits he is separated from her and makes almost no mention of his children. That doesn't sound like his "ideal Aryan" to me. The book uncovers the many differences between the races, the sexes, and the Jews and Gentiles. But it doesn't prove that there aren't more similarities than differences.
This is the most elaborate and credible "conspiracy theory" I have ever heard of. He managed to write it without sounding paranoid. This book is very thought-provoking, making the attentive reader rethink his previously unquestioned beliefs of what America is and what it should be. Duke puts a 180 degree spin on what most people assume is true about many things: The racial views of several prominent presidents, who the "racists" and "haters" are, what morality is in regard to integration, how the "Holocaust" happened, and even what Christianity is. Who controls the media controls the public's perception of reality. This book gives the reader the insight to approach the media with a critical eye rather than just unquestioningly assuming that the media represents the real world accurately and objectively. After reading this book, you can open up the newspaper every day and validate what this book shows about the media liberal bias. For many topics, Duke first consults the dictionary and prints the definiton of a certain word. But for the word "Aryan" he makes up his own definition, "A racially aware white person dedicated to the survival and evolutionary advancement of his people." If the Jews are both a cultural group and Caucasians, then the two halves of this book contradict one another. In the first part, Duke says race greatly impacts culture and in the second part he explains how drastically different and opposing the Gentile and Jewish cultures are. His writing that the Jews are a race is more brief and shallow than most of his book. He doesn't go into scientific, intelligence, or statistical crime/ birth rate, etc differences like he did comparing blacks to whites. I've seen statistics showing Jews have lower crime rates and higher intelligence and achievement levels than the rest of whites. Decide for yourself whether he proves Jews are a different race than non-Jewish Caucasians, but in demonstrating the vast differences in culture between the two groups without proving they're different races, he is contradicting himself. What about the Amish people? People would agree their culture is drastically different and even far behind, that of mainstream white culture. But they are still "European-Americans", though not the kind David Duke talks about. What about Russians? They are white but not from Europe. Jews can be European-Americans, but again not David Duke's kind. Most people seem to confuse the concepts of "race" and "ethnicity". I guess they can be easy to confuse. "My Awakening" is truly an amazing, rare, one-of-a-kind book, with information that you just don't encounter in mainstream sources like TV, newspapers, or even books. It's well- written, convincing, and intelligent but easy to read and understand.

Summary: Propaganda at its shiniest
Review: Duke knows his audience and knows his potential audience. This book will lead a person towards Duke's agenda if they're naive and uneducated. For instance, most of his sources are out-dated and the findings have been radically modified and updated since their inceptions; it would get a D as a paper in any University (of course they're "Zionist") Read it for a laugh, but always be aware you are being pulled into an agenda.

Summary: Cry for Freedom of Speech
Review: I was very impressed by the high quality of all the information provided by the book. Besides, I enjoyed very much the friendly, personal style. There is no hate in this book, Duke is opposed to racial violence (and clearly condemns what the nazis and others have done, etc.) But what he is concerned about are the many facts that are pushed aside by those who control the media and push their leftist political agenda. I must admit that Duke makes some political proposals at the end of the book (about immigration, etc. but nothing of what some reviewers have accused him of). And there is none of these conspiracy theories either in the book, it always remains serious. I learned a lot with this book. Most interesting, I learned the truth about the gas chamber stories (Auschwitz...) and the actual numbers of Jews killed by holocaust. Now I know that there is no real freedom of speech but manipulation of the masses even in Western countries, especially in the European countries. I asked a friend who reads much history to read the chapter on the holocaust, and his feedback was positive. This is why there is no freedom of speech on these matter in Europe, on these issues. Any doubts, critics on this issue mean a jail sentence of 5 years in several European countries (or shall I call them dictatures?) This may be the best general book written in the 2nd half of the 20th century. Give it a chance, you won't believe how your eyes will open and discover some hidden truths and see how some modern myths have been fabricated by the left, especially when these are the myths the media are flooding, brainwashing us with. You will realize that some of these things that seem the most natural and foundational to your culture ... are myths. I must add that many readers who gave one star to the book clearly never had a look at it. So this person asserting that Duke meant that anyone of black race is less intelligent than anyone of white race. Never does Duke write anything close to this. He only gives the statistics, the results of the many IQ tests showing racial differences, and these tests show that the racial averages are different and that there is some overlap, so that some blacks have a higher IQ than some whites. An average is not the same as the whole statistical distribution, individuals may be far from the average. So please, before you give this book a bad rating, read it, or at least read the parts relevant to the points you are making.

Summary: Inaccurate and Bigotted
Review: The Talmud is a secret book???? Just go to your local library. It is in fact a series of books with commentaries and anyone who is interested in Biblical history should read it. I am Christain, but I found the discussions of the meaning of Biblical texts (and the many arguements of famous commentaries throughout history) fascinating. Duke is a Holocaust denier and no amount of verified facts- or even eyewitness accounts- will allow him to admit the truth about the massive destruction of Jews, Poles, Gypsies, gays and dissidents. His "sources" are rubbish. Zionism may cause us to fund Israel, but it doesn't destroy our morality. Besides our moral underpinnings come from the Old Testament which Jesus said he was not going to change a jot or an iota of.

Summary: Well-Documented History of Slavery and Racism

Duke's "My Awakening" well documents the history of Judaism and Christianity, utilizing Jewish publications to explain his observation that Judaism is a doctrine of Jewish Supremacism and that The Torah, the doctrine of Jewish law, indeeds mandates Jewish supremacism, Jewish ethnocentricism, and pemanent enslavement of Gentiles (Leviticus 25:43-46). He provides documented evidence, i.e. quotations, from The Talmud, the highly secretive Jewish Holy Book, to substantiate his observation that Gentiles and Christians are vehemently demeaned via graphicly obscene references (in Hebrew) in Talmudic scripture, in order for the reader to better understand the reason educated Gentile American people are repelled by the philosophy of Judaism Although Duke reveals that many modern-day Jews insist they do not support the PORTIONS of The Torah and The Talmud that are anti-Gentile and Anti-Christian, he does make the point that The Talmud is not made available to the general public to openly examine. Duke's point is well made! Duke quotes from the New Testament to validate his observation that Christian doctrine also passively reinforces the institution of slavery. He uses Jewish publications to document the claim that Aaron Lopez, a Portuguese Jew of Marrano descent and a resident of Newport, R.I., was one of the most powerful slave-traders in the Americas, and that while 10% of the American colonists owned slaves, 40% of Colonial American Jews owned slaves. Duke also points out that Spielburg's blockbuster movie on the slave-trade, AMISTAD, makes NO mention of the predominant Jewish role in the Newport slave trade. And he documents the dominance of WHITE SLAVERY by Jews, from the concubines of King David to the modern Jewish "madames" Xaviera Hollander and Heidi Fleiss. Duke also provides evidence to substantiate his claim that the American media, including CBS, NBC and ABC, is dominated by Jews and that the media has a pro-Jewish bias, that allows commentaries that are critical of Christianity, Islam, or other religious persuasions, but restricts or prohibits commentaries that are critical of Judaism. This bias is in Duke's opinion what has given rise to modern-day so-called "Anti-Semitism." Duke's point is that Anti-Gentilism, not so-called "Anti-Semitism," is at the ROOT of racial discord in America. Duke's book is an attempt to provide the reader with an understanding of the history of slavery and racism. It also explains autobiographically how he came to be associated with the Ku Klux Klan and WHY he no longer supports that organization. "Jewish Supremacism: My Awakening on the Jewish Question" is a more recent publication by Duke, which further explores his theme.

David Duke's "My Awakening" is the best and most comprehensive book I have read explaining the history of Judaism and the role of The Jewish Nation in the the world today. It is a book that should be on the bookshelf of every scholar. It is well-written, well-documented and easy to read. Duke utilizes the writings of Jewish scholars and leaders, as well as quotes from The Torah and The Talmud to document his own observations that Judaism is a doctrine of Anti-Gentilism, a well as of Jewish Supremacism. Duke reveals that he has been wrongfully labeled "anti-Semitic" merely for pointing out the elements of Anti-Gentilism inherent in Judaism. In this regard Duke himself appears to have been a victim of character assassination by The Jewish Nation. When you read this book you will realize that Duke himself is neither Anti-Semitic, nor a racist. He presents well-supported evidence that racism has its origins in ethnocentric Judaism and that slavery was institutionalized by ancient Jewish law as revealed in The Torah.

Summary: A noble attempt at getting people to think.
Review: This book isn't for people who are incapable of thinking beyond Republican and Democratic politics. Because Duke steps back and looks at an extremely important issue that is totally ingored throughout the entire mainstream political spectrum.
Duke goes a bit overboard when he says that the only issue is race. Yes, race is extremely important but it is obviously not the only issue and when David Duke's thought is limited to explaining everything away with the race card, it limits his credibility. David Duke would do well for himself to study the works of Thomas Sowell (a man who places too much emphasis on economics but still makes some very important observations). Thomas Sowell is black so he downplays the role genetics play in inherent abilities. However, because these two authors look at the same issue while overemphasising on different aspects of race, if one were to sythesise the thought of these two authors then he can gain a wonderful understanding of race politics and anthropology.

Review: This is an especially unusual book, as many of its purchasers are now raising up entire vanguard communities for the racially conscious. If you are planning to purchase a copy of this, or just want to see the work of those who see it as a central guide for their life's work, it's all detailed out on Stormfront's Advance Scout forum for "Pioneer Little Europe." The founder of Stormfront is Don Black, and the creator of PLE is H. Michael Barrett, both are very early Duke associates.

Summary: A sad book from a sad man
Review: As a young white male of above-average IQ, I suppose I should feel flattered when men like Duke tell me I'm genetically destined to rule the world. Unfortunately for me, I happen to know that the "science" Duke relies on is nonsense. As Rush Dozier points out in his infinitely more insightful book, "Why We Hate" (2002), most of the genetic variations among humans - 90 percent or more, according to some estimates - occur within human racial groups, not between them. That means there is likely to be far greater genetic difference between David Duke and any other randomly selected Caucasian male (like me) than between him and an African-American. So it's lucky I live in another country. If Duke had his way, I'd probably be gassed. Seriously, though, genetic difference is actually something which we, as a species, should be celebrating and encouraging. It's the very thing which ensures we aren't wiped out by congenital defects. If Duke wants his own white state, let him and his small band of followers all move to Louisiana and let everyone else clear out. Then close the borders and see how long they last. They'll be sterile within six generations - but probably no dumber than they are now. Duke's "science" is nonsense. There is no demonstrable difference between the intellectual capabilities of racial groups. Why not? As psychiatrist Anthony Stevens points out in "Private Myths" (1997), the entire cerebral architecture of the human race has remained virtually unchanged since the emergence of our Cro-Magnon kin over a hundred millennia ago. Since then our brain has not "evolved" one iota. There has been too little time and absolutely no need: the human brain is the most astonishingly adaptable organ ever created. All along it has had precisely the same capacities as it does now. What has "evolved" is no more than the cultural consensus as to how these capacities are used. But culture is a memory store existing OUTSIDE the brain. The men who devised the first bows and arrows and later painted the caves of Lascaux were perfectly capable of making nuclear missiles and decorating the Sistine Chapel. All they lacked was the cultural back-up, the technical know-how generated, recorded, and passed on by previous generations. White European and Asian cultures which developed written languages tended to do this better because they could pass on complex information better which oral cultures, like those of Africa, could not. This doesn't mean that the "northern brain" is "better". It just means the accidents of history allowed some groups to make better use of the brain than others. But even if all the "science" Duke relies on were true, even if whites were demonstrably superior, then what of it? Does Duke really believe that race is a viable basis for social organisation? History is littered with failed racist utopias. As Duke readily admits, Nazi Germany is only the most recent example of genocide. But race-based societies will always fail because they deny the fundamental right of every human being to exist, to live and flourish, free from the interference of others, in the environment in which they happen to be born. And just in case anyone thinks I'm a Zionist, this dictum applies equally to the Jews, too many of whom are guilty of promoting precisely the same kind of eugenic nonsense as Duke, but favouring their racial group rather than white Europeans. If you read this book and feel flattered or comforted by it, ask yourself these questions. Why do you need to believe it? What are you so afraid of? Of course the human brain tells us to be suspicious of "people not like us". Fear is a primitive and perfectly natural defence mechanism of the human brain (remember, it hasn't evolved). But living in civil society is all about acknowledging that some fears are primitive and natural but inherently ANTI-SOCIAL and therefore need to be curtailed - just like some desires. Murder, for example. Rape, for example. Follow Duke's thinking to its logical conclusions and you're heading into anarchy. Follow Duke's thinking to its logical conclusions and you end up defending September 11. How is the terrorist politics of fundamentalist Islam any different to the eugenics of white supremacy? It's one racial-religious group trying to remove all others from a piece of territory (i.e. get Westerners out of Saudi-Arabia, the home of Islam's most sacred sites), in order to build a state based around their race and religion. Isn't that precisely what Duke wants for white Americans at home? But fear not, my genetically-different cousins. It will never happen. Thankfully, we still live in a world where a man like Duke can publish his views. And in doing so, he provides the greatest piece of evidence against his own claims of intellectual might: his book is a rare work of truly monumental stupidity.
