Summary: A must read
Review: I was amazed that a book this highly tauted provided such invaluable insights. Some of Kiyosaki's lessons I learned the hard way. Other principles I've already implemented and profited from. Between this book, and Katz's "Encyclopedia of Trading Strategies," I feel more confident in my financial future than ever.

Summary: New paradyne.
Review: This book has changed the way I look at money. I am not happy where I work and this book gives me a lot of ideas for becoming financially independent.

I would recommend you read this easy read, and hope you use the knowledge that you gain from it.

Summary: A book for everyone
Review: Mr.Kiyosaki has done a wonderful job in trying to distibute the wealth evenly to us all. This book was more than I expected. There were detailed explanations of how to make money work for you rather than working for it. Although I am 23 I wish I had read this book six years ago, it has opened my eyes to the reality of financial freedom, a reality which so many people learn when it is too late. I also appreciate the fact that someone who is "rich" took the time to explain processes which would help others to achieve financial independence. It demonstrates generousity and concern for the well being of others. A must read for anyone who wants to be wealthy.

Summary: Inspirational!
Review: This book was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am so glad that I picked it up! Robert Kiyosaki writes on a level you can understand easily. It is his story of success and how that financial freedom is achievable for all of us. I have just ordered 'Cash Flow Quadrants', and I will eagerly await its arrival in my mailbox. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to 'get out of the rat race' or simply begin building a nest egg for retirement. The most important lesson in this book is learning the difference between an asset and a liability. Robert Kiyosaki explains the benefits of knowing how the tax laws work, and shows you how to manipulate them in your favor.

Summary: Best book I've ever read
Review: This is the best book I've ever read on investing, and all without being given even one stock tip. The message is to invest in yourself--change your outdated ideas about money and investing, provide yourself constant educational opportunities, and stop making excuses for being broke!! Mr. Kiyosaki has a conversational style that Ms. Lechter captured, which makes the book an easy read. The messages are simple; most of us know them already, but we need to be reminded. What a new way to look at investing in my future!

Summary: Becoming rich not over night and not necessarily monetarily
Review: This book was very good. It teaches you to use your mind in everything that you do. Once you become a buying consumer part of the world it is hard to get out of that trap hopefully everyone will read this book and get out of the trap.

It was very motivational as well. I think after I read this book in a couple of hours I could have conquered the world. So here I am trying to conquer the world. My Dad recommended this book I am just sorry I didn't read it sooner. Definitely read this book if not to get get rich then for the motivational aspects. I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Good insight but...
Review: I enjoyed the book tremendously. The author opened my eyes to a lot about finances. I intend to use what he taught me to increase assets in the future. However, he seems to take the attitude that happiness is a function of money. It is not. Education might not be important for real estate investment, but it is for other career tracks. Education teaches one how to think, and that is more important than money. Imagine going to a rich landowner for surgery! I have found education to be far more valuable than money. Realize that this book, like most of the books found in the business section of bookstores, represents the philosophy of the author. I have read two dozen books on finances. The authors' three books (this one is first in this trilogy) represent one way of seeing ecomonic reality. Read a couple of dozen more books, including Thomas Friedman's "The Lexus and the Olive Tree", learn to THINK, and THEN you will see why I would have liked to meet the poor dad almost as much as the rich dad. Don't get me wrong, this book was fantastic. I highly recommend it. But I've been both middle class and poor, and I feel the mind is worth more than the wallet.

Summary: Philosophy
Review: I was really floored by this book, because it presents an unique and wonderful philosophy of not just investing, but rather a way of life. The book compels you not to make mistakes that you would normally do, get out of the "rat race" and into the "fast track". But, it think Kiyosaki's principles are too risky, and although this book contains gems of wisdom, do not use it as an investement guide.

Summary: Rich Day Poor Dad
Review: Rich Dad Poor Dad is an excellent book about basic life concepts and issues pertaining to work ethics, finances and building assets. Expecially your mind, which is your most important asset. It is good to have a refresher course in self-determination and self-discipline.

This book gives new meaning to the phrase, "mind your own business," which translates to mean keep your expenses low, reduce your liabialities and diligently build a base of solid assets.
