Rating: Summary: A must read for serious investors. Review: Curt has put together an excellent technical handbook for investors. It is an easy read and helps one to establish skills for successful investing. The section on charting is particularly helpful in defining some of the more potent formations for investing in the underlying trend. A.C. Moore Chief Investment Strategist Dunvegan Associates, Inc.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: Curt has tackled one of the least understood techniques in investment decision-making and done it in a manner that is easy to understand by the layman. He provides clear explanations for such oddly-named creatures as "head and shoulders formations" and "double and triple tops." Even fundamental investors who might not be prepared to base their investment actions on technical analysis as such would benefit from this exposure to another way of looking at the message of the market.Alfred Kugel, Chief Investment Strategist, Stein Roe Investment Counsel LLP

Rating: Summary: explains the magic of technical trading Review: Curt Renz makes sense of technical analysis. The book demonstrated how charts read the market's mind and illustrate investor behavior.
Rating: Summary: Easy Read - Clear Graphics Review: Finally, an easy to read book for a novice like me, one who has been hoping to understand how the stock market really operates. I've tried and failed to wade through more ponderous tomes full of what to my mind is mumbo jumbo. The early chapters of this book nicely brought me up to speed on many marketplace basics, including the effects of human psychology. The clearly drawn charts made it easy for me to visualize the way that human behavior repeats itself in the market. I always appreciated the way Curt Renz demystified the stock market each day on his TV show. Now, in one place, he has tied together for me many of his keen insights. I now feel better prepared to tackle those more advanced texts. Although, if Curt would write a sequel, I'll wait for that instead.

Rating: Summary: Mark Leibovit, CIMA and Chief Investment Strategist Review: Have already provided a short testimonial.
Rating: Summary: A Truly Excellent Primer Review: I am new to technical analysis. I really appreciate the way Mr. Renz gently walked me through the process in his marvelous primer. Now it all makes perfect sense to me. His beautiful diagrams quickly burned the key patterns into my mind. It's really great the way he pointed out common investor mistakes and misconceptions. Mr. Renz's explanation of why technical analysis works was a real eye opener. I was one of those he described as running with the dumb money. Now I know how the smart crowd operates!
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: Sound technical analysis is a fundamental for successful investment. Technical analysis is also a very complicated task. Curt has done a wonderful job in turning the complicated concepts to easy-to-read language. It is a must read for investors who want to win the game in today's stock market.
Rating: Summary: Learn to talk the talk.. and chart your own gains Review: Technical analysis is one of the few tried and true investment strategies an individual can learn to use and effectively apply at home with nothing more complex than paper and a pencil. Really. Curt Renz's book opens this world of chart formations and techniques to the average investor and to the novice investor. His book is accessible. It has a teaching approach. The examples and pointers are clear. Best of all, the book introduces something that works! Learn that 'head and shoulders' is not just a shampoo and that 'double bottoms' are not references to people with weight problems. Learn the lingo. Walk the walk, talk the talk - reap the gains. Renz's book is a winner. Use it to learn technical analysis, to manage your affairs, or to double-check your broker. It's your money... and some of it is well spent, I should say, invested, on this book.
