Rating: Summary: High Octane Trading - The Teacher Appears Review: When the student is ready to learn, the teacher will appear. Steve Wirrick's High Octane Trading appeared just as I was pondering how to handle retirement that is coming in a few months. His book is one of the best presentations I have seen related to the type of investing I plan to pursue. Fundamentals of using stock and options markets to be able to generate cash flow are well explained. I expect the knowledge imparted by Mr. Wirrick in his new book to materially aid and improve my future investing results. I think High Octane Trading is a must have addition to the investing library of anyone who wants to learn to do more with the stock market than "buy and hold". Many thanks to Mr. Wirrick for providing easy to understand background and knowledge for my future asset management.
Rating: Summary: Finally a practical step-by-step trading system!! Review: With the help of 'High Octane Trading' I'm finally able to construct a trading plan that works! Steve Wirrick does an excellent job of explaining the details of a successful trading program. First I learned the importance of having a detailed and specific trading game plan. Next, I learned what market indicators give the best overall picture of the market. I also learned how to keep track of these indicators so I have a better idea of what the Wall Street 'herd mentality' is. Steve then writes about stock option basics. The majority of the book is dedicated to explaining Wirrick's 'tricks-of-the-trade' i.e. the real indicators, charts, and patterns that make him a successful options trader. This information is, and will continue to be vital to my success as a trader. Two thumbs up for this book. It helps me realize how simple the stock market can be if one takes the time to establish a sound game plan and sticks to it. The technical analysis is explained in detail so I'll have no more 'paralysis of analysis' -Thanks a lot Steve!
