Summary: Twisted and Crafty -- An... Interesting Read
Review: First of all, the new writing style is FANTASTIC. I am so glad that J.K. Rowling has gotten into this very adult style. It makes the books so much more intriguing somehow. Now, I'd have to say that this is either my second favorite book, or is tied with my favorite, Prisoner of Azkaban (Then GOF, COS, and PS). There are many moments when you wish that you didn't need sleep so you could just devour the book whole, and others where, quite frankly, you could care less (i.e. -- the Quidditch matches, except after Ron's win were quite dull and kind of mean) The only reason I gave this 4/5 was because right up until the last... 50 pages I thought this was the best, and no, I was not changed by the death of the character, all though it was heart wrenching, it was rather the very rushed attempt to just end it that left me feeling a little dry. There was soooo much description, and then all of the sudden it's like rush rush rush... The End. Definitely give it a read, but you might want to take this one slow to absorb everything

Summary: Interesting
Review: When I first started reading "Order of the Phoenix", I was not at all happy with the book. I didn't like the way it was happening with the characters or the way it was being done. To be honest with you, I thought Harry was a whining little .... But now after completing the book, I must say that I liked the book very much and can honestly not wait until the sixth book is released in a few years. In this book the reader learns so much more about all the characters, the plot and the basic whole scene of the story. Harry starts dating someone for awhile, but ultimately it fails. From the ending of the "Goblet of Fire", I would have liked to see Harry end up with Hermoine but that is something that is not at all discussed in the book. From the point of background information, I feel that J.K. Rowling did a very nice job of wording it. I was impressed about how it was presented to the reading and I was even more impressed with the way it was told. Even the final realization of the truth of what will end up happening between Harry and Lord Voldermort was impressive. The only thing I would have done differently was make it that Harry and Hermoine hooked up. Althought, one main character does die, I liked the way it was done. It was done with courage, pride and most importantly love. Even the realization that Harry had to accept the fact that this charcter was gone was done in such a way that it made it...okay. I greatly anticipate the sixth book which I am guessing will be entitled, "Harry Potter and the Coming War". I am unsure, but I would like to see it have something to do with the upcoming war between Harry and Voldermort. Ending - Good Book.

Summary: The Most Depressing Year
Review: I love the previous four books, but this one has to be my least favorite. It was depressing and the ending was a real blow. I understand that since Voldemort returned that life for Harry isn't exactly a day at the beach, but I wish this book had a few more happier moments. There are some things that are worth reading. We get a glimpse into the mysterious Severus Snape's childhood, and Fred and George are always good for a laugh. I'm glad Harry got to spend Christmas with Sirirus. Despite these few select moments, this book is too dark for my tastes. The character that dies is my favorite. I hope that JKR can find a way to bring this character back (the "death" was a little unconvincing)otherwise we have lost someone who was a nice parental figure for Harry. I can only hope that the next one will be better. I am still a Harry Potter fan.

Summary: The Best of the series so far
Review: I started reading Harry Potter before anyone even knew about it, and I have spent a long time waiting for the day that this book would come out. I read this book in five days of nonstop reading. It is definitely the most exciting, darkest, and chilling book of the series. Rowling, instead of keeping Harry as a child sends him into adolesence, with a girlfriend, chilling selfish thoughts, and realistic events for a real teenager. This book is definitely for harry potter fans no less than nine or ten years old, but is however fascinating and is as good (I think better) than the rest of the series. The book leaves you wondering, ofcourse, whats coming in the next book!?!?!?

Summary: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is best one yet!
Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the best book yet. It is suspensful, scary, and very sad. Somebody very close to Harry dies. When I got to the part when the person dies, I started bursting out crying. It is the best book and deffinitly the saddest.

Summary: Where's the 870 pages?
Review: Well, the last page said 870, but I'm not sure about that; it went so fast. This is definitely the most action packed book in the Harry Potter series so far. Harry is no longer a little kid with wide-eyes, which should help to dispel the myth that this is a solely children's book. There is less Quidditch, but the twists and turns in the story plot more than made up for that. I was up all night and all day reading this so-called "monster" book and it was worth the wait. There are valuable lessons in this story that have to looked for and more characters that are delightfully hate-able and cheers rent the air when they finally get their comeuppance. There is a certain death, but I'm not going to tell you who it is because that would spoil the fun you could have of reading it yourself. If you have not read Harry Potter, now is a good time to start with the first one and work your way up. The Order of the Phoenix is everything we've been hoping for three years and more.

Is Book 6 coming yet?

Summary: Book Number 5 is a charm!
Review: This book was better than expected. When I bought the book, I wanted to hurry home and read it. To me, The Goblet of Fire was excellent but The Order of the Pheonix was brilliant. I have one work for J.K. Rowling... GENIUS!!! Excellent storyline. This is automatically the best book of the five books that have come already.

Summary: Cho Chang makes it all worthwhile
Review: The only reason i gave the book a high rating is because of Cho Chang. though i really didn't like how the author portrayed her when she was crying over cedric. However when she wasnt, she seemed like a great person. eg. she stood up to harry when filch was bothering him at the Owlery.
i didn't like ginny. she thinks she's all that when she really isn't. and the entire Weasley family is just boring and stupid. everyone knows that Arthur and Molly wouldn't even be on the order if harry wasn't friends with Ron. you got to be kidding if you think that they got in because they were helpful. which explains why they weren't on the order the last time when lily and james were still around. also i hated that Ron and GInny joined the Quidditch team. It made it seem like the Weasleys are the only students in Gryffindor. I was disappointed that Malfoy didn't make as much insults to Ron about being poor and ugly.
N E wayz the book was abysmal, and i was really disappointed that the person died because he/she knew a lot of info about Harry's parents and didn't have the chance to tell him everything.

Summary: Excellent Read I couldnt put it down
Review: I recieved it on Saturday and i finished it tonight, Thurs. I couldnt wait to get home from work to read it every night. As usual i didnt want to finish it either because it means waiting however long for the next one. It was much darker then the others, maybe adolescense or maybe not! its up to you. The death is depressing but not as bad as i thought it would be.... Brilliant read would have finished it in one sitting if i didnt have to work!!! Cant wait for the next one

Summary: Wow. Just, Wow.
Review: Fans of the Harry Potter series will not be disappointed by this AMAZING installment. At least, this 14 year old fan wasn't.

Even with its gargantuan length, the book never gets dull. When the plot isn't roaring along at a fantastic and breakneck pace, we're left with great character development that gives us insight into the lives of some lesser characters (like Mrs. Weasley and Neville). Or some funny lines from Fred and George. Or more of what makes these books so great. The chemistry and the bond between the characters.

The book begins at Number 4 Privet Drive - where Harry is having a horrible summer. But one hot night, Dementors show up and suddenly Harry finds himself caught up in a giant misunderstanding (or is it) leaving him in danger of being expelled from Hogwarts!

But the book continues on and in a twist sure to leave readers outraged, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge turns out to be a completely evil piece of work bent on destroying everything about Hogwarts that Harry and his friends love so much - with special powers from the Cornelius Fudge, the delusional Minister of Magic who believes Dumbledore is out to get him and will stop at nothing to "reform" the school and get his own way.

Meanwhile, Hagrid is missing and nothing is turning out the way it should be. As you can probably guess, the action doesn't stop there.

Two things I did not like were the death scene everyone's been talking about (a big disappointment, I felt it was anticlimatic and not dramatic at all and not as good as I expected) and the scene where Dumbledore reveals "the truth" to Harry. The truth turned out to be something very obvious that most people probably already guessed by now - not a huge secret worthy of being on the back page.

There seem to be some small discrepancies in the story, but they will probably be explained later and do not have a large impact on the story.

But it's still worthwhile, and I have to agree Harry Potter is worthy of all the hype.
