Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a must have for beginners
Review: The best book for beginners I've seen. It's got everything from basic finger palm vanishes, a damn good cups and balls routine, to full scale "stage" magic you see on tv.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great guide to magic
Review: The tricks in the book are very well explained and illustrated, making learning a breeze. After a couple of hours of reading and practicing, I was able to amaze my daughter and my wife. I had never done magic before in my life, but this book made it a breeze. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn a few tricks, or to become an amateur magician.

Summary: The best single-volume magic course ever created.
Review: There have been a number of magic courses available in the past, such as Hugard and Tarbell, but a modern-day magic enthusiast often gets lost in the archaic references to waistcoasts and opera hats. In the 70's Mark Wilson created a masterful course in magic for the contemporary conjuror. Most importantly, each of the effects is "idiot proofed" by extensive instructions and superb drawings. When I was in the magic business, I personally sold hundreds of these book, giving it my highest recommendation. For the price, you can't do better for someone looking to learn the art and craft of magic. Countless individuals owe their interest to Mark Wilson, myself included. A tremendous value; a milestone work.

Summary: Simplistic art, small canvas.
Review: This book is complete and well arranged for the beginner magician. The dimentions of this (hand)book are a set back, rather than being to lazily leaf through the pages, one must squint and work to see detail in the illustrations. Pictures would have been a better choice

Summary: A must have for the beginning magician!
Review: This is a rich and informative source of information for a beginning magician. It is very well categorized with easy to understand comprehensive sections. If you're someone just starting out as an aspiring magician, as I am, this book is a MUST!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent
Review: This is an excellent book for all interested in the "Art of Illusion". It may be a little difficult for children under the age of 8. Good reading skills are a must but the text and drawings make it as easy as it can be.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best Magic Primer in Print
Review: This is an excellent book for someone who wants to start magic as a hobby. Not only does it include basic tricks (that anyone may know), but it contains a great deal of tricks that look like miracles. It's also an excellent teaching tool for the basics of sleight-of-hand. I recommend it completely.
