Rating: Summary: Monster Review: I have just finshed Monster, by Walter Dean myres. It is about this 16 year old blackboy named Steve. well, he goes into a drug store in Harlem (that is where he lives)and kills the owner,or did he? In the book it is just like you are in jail with him and are in the court roonm with them too. It is told in dialogue. You will love the book and will not beable to put it down if you enjoy shows like Law and order.
Rating: Summary: Watching Your Life Passing Before Your Very Eyes Review: Steve is a black teenager from Harlem. ... He doesn't have a perfect life, not by far, and he doesn't make the best choices. This book is written as a screenplay. It took several pages for me to get into it, but don't give up. In a short time, you will be completely drawn in. Steve is lookng at potentially spending his life in jail. Read this thrilling book to find out what happens to Steve's life.
Rating: Summary: E. McHenry- Ms. J. Scott 8th Period Review: I just recently read the book "Monster". I enjoyed the book. It has a good story plot and I enjoy how the book is written in play form. It also has a wonderful ending, but I'm not going to give it away. So if you want to know what happens in the book you have to read it. Trust me, you will enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Monster Review: I read this book by Walter Dean Myers three years ago and it still has made an impression on me. If a book leaves a lasting impression on the reader it most definitely is a great book. The format, which Myers chose to write, is one that is a fast and easy read for young adults. The protagonist, Steven, is incarcerated for murder. Steven writes a movie script of his ordeal. Is he guilty or innocent? Read this compelling piece of young adult literature and make your own decision.
Rating: Summary: Book review for Monster Review: I thought Monster was an excellent book on the life of a criminal. Walter Dean Myers did a great job bringing out the emotion of being in jail. This book includes great dialog and also great imagery. The fact that the book is set up in movie form is a plus. This is why I give monster 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Osvaldo Gonzalez, Scotts 4 Review: When I first started reading the book i thought it wasnt going to be interesting for me. Since it was written like a movie script or play i got confused at first. I then got used to it and thought it was easer and more interesting to read.I really think this book is good. The main character Steve was at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was accused of something he didnt do, and that was murder. Now everybody thinks hes a MONSTER what can he do or what will he do to prove he isnt the murder.See for yourself and read the book.I recomended to the young adults out there.
Rating: Summary: Straight from L.Tunstall Scott 4 Review: In the novel Monster, by Walter Dean Myers the main characters were the boy on trial for murder(Steve),O'Brien, King, and Petrocelli. This story took place in Cell Block D, Manhattan Detention Center.A sixteen-year old boy is being faced with murder in jail for a crime that he didn't commit. In this book he is taking us in as if we was there. Steve is going through trail and tribulations in this jail cell, but even though he goes through these problems in the end he is still strong and was not found guilty.

This is a book about a sixteen-year-old boy being accused of murder. He was in store at the wrong time. Was Steve Harmon guilt or not guilt? You will have to read the story to find that out. The great features are that the book is set up like a movie. Hope you enjoy. YOU will not be able to put this book down.

It was about a 16 year old boy named Steve Harmon that was on trial for a murder that he did not committ. This book shows that you really do not know who your friends really are, because the people that he thought were his friends and they tried to lie and say he was the one who committed the crime.
