Rating: Summary: Love it. Review: My niece (19 months) loves this one. When I babysit, I end up reading it... several times. She'll eschew other books in favor of this one.
I can't say why she loves it, but she does.
Rating: Summary: FUNNY WITH WONDERFUL ILLUSTRATIONS Review: My two year old loves books and loves to be read to and you can clearly see his interest intensified by a book with colorful and funny illustrations like you get in this great book by Sandra Boynton. The great rhyming text lends to the silliness of the book. The fact that the characters preparing to go to bed by taking baths, brushing their teeth and getting into their pajamas are funny animals, makes it so much more entertaining for little ones. My two year old gets a kick out of thinking that animals brush their teeth too and even tried to take his tooth brush and brush our dog's teeth! Good thing we caught him in time!
Sandra really seems to have a great grasp on what will appeal to young children and I am grateful to her for another wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: Cute and Funny book! Review: Really cute story, my girls 4 and 2 really like it!
Rating: Summary: Bedtime with Boynton! Review: I only had one other Boynton book "Snuggle Puppy" which my daughter loves so I wanted to get her another Boynton book. "The Going to Bed" book is a hit!
This book is about several different animals in different shapes and sizes getting ready for bed on a boat. They brush their teeth, excersize and put on pajamas.
The illustrations are cute and her rythmic poetry is perfectly easy to read.
My daughter absolutely loves the pictures and she must like the sound of the words because she gets so excited by this book.
I personally like this book for reading at bedtime because of its length. Its short, sweet and to the point. And the very last page of the book "They rock and rock and rock to sleep" is perfect when read slowly to emphasize the end of the day.
Her books are precious and very inexpensive. This is not a book you will be donating or selling at a garage sale. Your baby/child will love it!
Rating: Summary: Love this book!! Review: This is such a fun book to read! I bought this when my son was only a few months old, and at 2-1/2 we still read it. Of course, by now, I can read it with my eyes closed!! But I still love it.
Rating: Summary: My Son Loves this book!!!!!!!!! Review: I bought this book for my 15 month old son for bedtime reading. He absolutely loves the pictures and pointing to the animals. We also read the book "I Love You As Much" and "Goodnight Moon". We read all three before bedtime and my son adores all 3 books. I would tell parents of young children to really give this book a try to establish a bedtime ritual with their children, I know Dylan, my son, always looks forward to his bath, getting his pajamas on then cuddling with his blanket and getting his stories read to him.
Rating: Summary: Does it get any cuter? Review: Such a cute book to read with your little one.
Worth every penny.
