Summary: Amazing book for budding math-fanatics!
Review: I love this book! More important, my seven-year-old, who is math-crazy, loves this book. This book is incredibly packed with math, and all the ways math applies in every aspect of life. A perfect gift for kids who love math. It might even turn kids onto math if they are math-averse. Very entertaining, very educational! There should be more children's books like this! I can't praise this book highly enough.

Summary: A Fun Math Book
Review: I love this book. It really makes fun of math. I wish there were more than 5 stars to rate it with, The only thing wrong with it is that there aren't enough pages! Just a sample (on page -1) is a math question of how many nieces and nephews there are! Most dedications are actually boring! I really recommend this book. If you order it, you won't regret it!

Summary: math is fun!!!
Review: I read and reread "Math Curse" to my 8 and 10 year old with relish. We tried to answer all the puzzles, laughed at the absurdities, and generally had a wonderful time. I am a huge advocate of anything that makes math enjoyable, and I was particularly impressed by the author's ability to introduce higher math concepts without any fanfare. We have ransacked the local library for more from this author, and we have not been disappointed. This one is a keeper!

Summary: How true!
Review: I read this book to my math classes every year. It is a great example of how EVERYTHING is connected to math! A MUST HAVE for every math teacher of any level.

Summary: Fourth graders really responded!
Review: I shared this book with fourth graders (I am a school media specialist/librarian) and they LOVE it. They check the shelf daily to see if a copy is available and fight over it if it is there. Possibly works best with adult introduction, but it's FUN!

Summary: A fun view of math anxiety and math ideas in everyday life.
Review: I teach math to adults, and I use this book in my classes when I discuss math anxiety. I also use it to illustrate some major math ideas, such as base numbers (important in computers and video games), the Fibonacci series (important in natural science and a good illustration of how math developed in the abstract can often later be found to have practical application), logic, and combinations. The book is chock full of math concepts, all presented in the context of everyday circumstances, which makes it a very valuable tool in making the argument to my students for their need to study math. It is also a very, very entertaining book, and all of my students can relate to the girl's frustration and anxiety. My 9 year old son reads this book at least once a week (for the last year, now!), and still laughs when he reads it. It is wonderfully illustrated and well written, a true gem. I recommend it for children and adults alike, and especially for math teachers of all ages.

Summary: Fun for all ages!
Review: I thought that this book was great! It is a fun way to get kids interested in math. The only thing is that only math majors (in college) are going to get some of the jokes, but that is ok! Adults need to have fun too!

Summary: the perfect cure for the math phobia in all of us
Review: I thought the book was excellent in how it showed the rediculousness of our irrational fears of math. As a teacher, I have used it in the classroom and my kids loved it. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from anxiety.

Summary: I love this book
Review: I'm a math major and during my classroom observations, I read this book to 4th graders and they loved it. The teacher ask me to stay and read it to the 5th and 6th graders. The book is illustrated beautifully and it really makes students and adults understand that math is a part of our every day life. I love the way the authors relate every aspect of the book to math: the price of the book is an addition problem, the price is also in available in binary, it's for ages >6 and <99!!! The fact that Mrs. Fibonacci is her teach is just too cool! I've become a math lunatic myself. Thanks to the authors for such grand creativity!
