Summary: Great Childhood Memories
Review: I too, have been searching for this book and found a copy at my local Library. My younger brother had this entire book memorized by the time he entered Kindergarten. Seeing it reminded me of my childhood and it was a special treat to be able to share it with my own children.

Summary: My favorite children's folktale!
Review: My Dad still talks and teases me about this (somewhat morbid, but funny) story of a very hungry kitty cat. It ranks as the the most requested bedtime story of my childhood. I would very much love to see this book back in print so that I may read it to my children.

Summary: Awesome - Most memorable book of my childhood
Review: My sister, and I, still talk about this book and all the stuff the little cat eats. Many creative characters with interesting names you will never forget. A must have. Very clean, nothing objectionable. Our favorite.

Summary: A wonderful tale!
Review: The Fat Cat is a delightful tale about a little cat who eats everything in sight. As he does so, he gets bigger and bigger! The pictures enhance the story...as the cat eats more, one can see how impossibly big he gets! Jack Kent, is of course, a state of the art author and illustrator! I was so glad to obtain the book. The book came to me from Bookrescue. They provided excellent service.

Summary: The Fat Cat by Jack Kent
Review: The Fat Cat is a fabulouus picture book. Children love it and it's easy and fun to act out with them. It's a Danish folktale, very easy to tell but the illustrations add a lot to the tale. I hope a publisher will bring it back into print. It was orginially published by Parents Magazine Press

Summary: Absolute Favorite
Review: This story is an old Danish folktale as told by Jack Kent and like most folktales it is a little morbid, but contains a moral. The fat cat is a greedy little feline who is supposed to watch over her owner's gruel, but instead eats the whole thing "and the pot." But the cat isn't satisfied and continues eating until she becomes a somewhat humorous monster.

The children at the day care I worked at loved this story and I love reading it.
