Rating: Summary: Another great book by New Riders Review: This is one good book on ASP.NET, I brought this book after buying and being impressed by the other new riders ASP.NET publication Debugging ASP.NET.And I am glad to say, this is an action I definately do not regret.
Rating: Summary: Great refernce and learning material and what a website! Review: Well I picked this item up as a curiousity, since I have not heard of the author before and he seems to be absent from most of the .NET based forums. And to be honest I was surprised, the book does not waste to much time going over the history or background of ASP.NET, like other books on the market, but instead jumps right into the areas of ASP.NET serious devlopers need to know about. I did have some questions on some parts of the book, and found it very easy to contact the author directly (I even had a reply within a day of sending a question) and the author seemed very knowledgable on most areas of .NET. The only isuue I had with the book is that it is not in c#, however most of the exsamples converted with out too much trouble. Also you might want to check out the authors website, it has not been updated for a while, but the interface is quite good, and he also has some forum software in place, that apparently uses ASP.NET but how it works, is something I would love know (maybe he will post source code one day :) ), it is very polished indeed. as a final note a great buy, and an authoritive guide, great stuff.
Rating: Summary: Definately on eof the better ASP.NET Books Review: Well, what can I say, found this book to be one of the best on the market, certainly in the top 3. these being in order of my personal preference 1. Inside ASP.NET 2. ASP.NET Unleashed 3. Proffessional ASP.NET No more to say, its a good book with great information, and I would say that it has one of the best custom control and security chapters on ASP.NET that I have seen to date. Good book, certainly worth the money
