Review: Every other book gives you the concept of making animations and tricks in flash .But can they give you the designing tips .IF you know everything but dont know how to design you can't make stunning sites.But in this book everything you will get right from the basic to extreme designer.One think i have to say u to all do u all know this book is from the great designer Hillman curtis! Just now i finished reading this book now iam on the way to design a virtual reality site of my city(trichy).Just look at the site ... after 2months and u all know what this book make me really a flash professional

Review: Hey, I'm a kid who loves computer animation. Thios book is soo easy to understand..and what animation they show you how to do is great! It's soooooo CoOl!

Review: Hillman Curtis a master of flash, teach you in deconstructed proyects the way to art via Macromedia Flash.
Is not a book about tricks for Flash, but about very important concepts to start creatig with Flash.
This book is not for begginers, but for people who know something about flash and want to get in the path of mastering it.

Review: Hillman Curtis is too "artsy fartsy" and not enough "substance". He busily quotes people he admires yet forgets to finish the projects he shows you and has omissions and errors. Forget this book and go for "Foundation Flash 5". You are better off getting a graphic design book or something of that nature as this book is just insufficient in tutoring flash and insufficient on it's own to teach creativity. About the one good thing it does do it show you how to keep your files small. Not worth $35.00 for that information.

Summary: Slick, but Not for Beginners.
Review: I bought this book hoping it will help me to learn Flash 5. From a beginner perspective this book is very lacking and the examples are missing some necessary steps. Its certainly a nicely designed book but gives you no sense in what to expect from it. I expected the examples to be written in such a way that anyone can do it as long as the instructions are followed... and that didn't happen. Disappointed.

Review: I give this a strong four because it is teaching me how and why to animate...and for me that's more valuable, but some of the examples are outdated. You're probably better off with a FlashMX book at this point.
