Rating: Summary: It's a pretty good book for Lotus SA certification Review: After 21 months of Lotus-related work I have passed #521 exam "Implementing a Domino R5 Infrastucture" with 77.5% score last week. I think it's realy not bad test preparation tool. Unfortunately it has some serious mistakes in Chapter 11. Also I was needed to install a new JRE (1.4.0) for correct work with Total Seminars Software on Athlon-based machine. Best regards.
Rating: Summary: NO Principal Exam coverage Review: Don't like the way it's organized but info is good.
Rating: Summary: No practice databases on CD referenced in book. Review: I am rather pleased with the chapter contents themselves, and look forward to the included practice exams on the CD. However, I have found it very difficult in successfully completing the chapters effectively because each one (that I have studied so far) that has a Practice section references a "database that is included on the CD-ROM." There are NO databases on the CD-ROM. Inquiries to the author and publisher have not produced them nor have they given a good reason why there is such a huge discrepancy. The author advises she is trying to get them posted to her website, which unfortunately hasn't happened yet. If you rely on hands on examples to better comprehend the information, don't rely on this book.
Rating: Summary: Good Book for System Administrators Review: I found this book quite useful for Domino Administration.
Rating: Summary: Excellent study guide Review: I found this book to be a very good supplement to my CLP studies. I failed the 2nd test twice until I got this book and read it's entire section for the exam I was working on. It is very clear and understandable. The practice questions could use a little work, but they were suffcicient in giving a little bit of an idea of what was on the actual test. Overall, I found this book to be of great help to me in furthering my Domino education.
Rating: Summary: Everything You Need to Pass the R5 Exams Review: I have been waiting for the release of this book for over a year. It's worth the wait. If you want to pass the R5 exams..purchase this book. It's the only book I used. Of course you have to have some experience with the R5 client.
Rating: Summary: The book helped me with my first test Review: I was able to pass 521: Maintaining Domino Servers and Users studying exclusively with this book and using some practice test I came across. You will need Notes experience and I recommend finding all the practice test you can, but this book is a steal ... Everything Lotus comes up with on the test is in this book.
Rating: Summary: Great book for the Lotus Notes 521 exam Review: I went to the 3 day class for this exam, I have 3+ years of Lotus Notes experience and this book was great for preparing me for the Lotus Notes 521 exam. This was my first Lotus Notes exam and I passed! I've taken Novell and Microsoft exams and this book is great for getting ready for this exam. I will use this book in preparation for the 520 and 522 exams. I did not encounter any errors in the Implementing a Domino R5 Infrastructure part of this book (like other books seem to have).
Rating: Summary: Great preparation for CLP Review: I'm working with notes since two years, and I've done many courses. 3 Weeks ago I started the CLP test series. The 520 Test I passed with a score of 82%, the 521 with a score of 89% and the 3th one 522 today with 80%. I have learned only with this book and old online tests. I passed all the exams the first time and I'm not good in testwriting, I'm to nervous. I recomend this book to anyone who would like to become a Certified Lotus Administrator.
Rating: Summary: Not only a certification book Review: In less than week, I managed to read 400 pages of the book, and by every line I find a new stuff to learn from. I try to read the book while my Domino server is on, so as I can try what is written in the book, and by far I think it is the best way to use this book. It has things practical to daily work, and exams. It is a must have book.
