Summary: A good intro to the Visor PDA
Review: A good introduction to the Visor PDA. Covers all the basics of the unit, getting started, built-in applications, third party apps, and the Springboard module slot. Includes use of desktop computer synchronization software for PC and Mac. Clearly written and with humorous sidebars, this is a quick way to learn all about your Visor. Points out the benefits of this machine over the Palm products. I would like to have more third party apps reviewed, perhaps with a star rating, so I could better sift through the thousands of apps available.

Summary: A Great Jump Start for the New Visor User
Review: Color me old-fashioned, but I like to read about a new tool as I'm learning to use it. With a product as useful as the Visor, I'd REALLY like to master it. And I'm impatient. So having a handy guide nearby was a real blessing. I actually didn't find the PDF user guide on the Visor's CD until months after I'd been using the device. The Visor is a wonderful product, but the packaging assumes some intuitive leaps (like including the manual on the CD, without any prompts to open or print it). This book was a godsend. Enough humor to get you through the detail, and good insights to save some aggravation. Worth the money. Definitely.

Summary: Should replace the manual...
Review: Especially since there is no real manual with the Visor, only the PDF document, this should replace it. The authors are both witty and informative. And the information is exactly what is needed for the new owner of a Handspring Visor. My only wish would be that this book be included in the box when you buy a new Visor.

Summary: Not the Best Visor Guide
Review: Except for some useful tips in the first few chapters, this book offered very little that couldn't be found in the Handspring User Manual. This book was more of a marketing piece for various third party modules and software...in fact, there are more chapters devoted to the third party add-ons than the Visor PDA. This book is not worth the money. The Visor is a great PDA, unfortunately this book fell much too short in quality.

Summary: Excellent Guide for the Visor User (MAC and Win)
Review: I bought this book (paper copy) after returning "Handspring for Dummies" which was not useful. For MAC users this book is the way to go and is by far the best I have found to date.

This book is terrific and well written. More importanly it is credible. Serves as a useful guide for both the novice and the wanna-be expert. Not only does it explain the Visor's capability but also notes limitations and saves the user from trying to reinvent the wheel.

Shortcuts and recommendations abound to further the Visor's capability.

Highly recommended and well worth the investment.

Summary: extremely worthwhile
Review: I found this book by chance and recommend it highly to any Visor owner. It is easy to read and has excellent references. Everyone with a Visor should get this book.

Summary: Should have come in the box!
Review: I inherited a Visor Deluxe (green, very cool). Because there aren't many other Visor books out there, I bought this one. I don't understand what the other reviewers are talking about, this is an excellent book. I now know things about the built in programs that I didn't know before, and I've learned about the amazing number of third-party programs and products that I didn't even know existed. Seriously, ignore the people who give this one or two stars - they are crazy. If you have a Visor, you should get this book!

Summary: My Review
Review: I just wanted to compliment All4Books.com on their speedy delivery of the "USED" book;however, it looked brand new and was packaged very handsomely. The only noticeable difference between the All4Books "used" version and a new book was the "indelible" print mark across the botton of the pages which I have observed in "USED" book stores. The book contained all the information I needed for my "VISOR", and I expect that I may be making more purcahses thru the All4Books outlet. Thanks Again.
