Summary: My Review
Review: I just wanted to compliment All4Books.com on their speedy delivery of the "USED" book;however, it looked brand new and was packaged very handsomely. The only noticeable difference between the All4Books "used" version and a new book was the "indelible" print mark across the botton of the pages which I have observed in "USED" book stores. The book contained all the information I needed for my "VISOR", and I expect that I may be making more purcahses thru the All4Books outlet. Thanks Again.

Summary: Some good, more bad
Review: I recently bought this book to discover what secrets lie in my Visor Platinum. There are some good hints and it is a nice supplement to the user guide. The first few pages of every chapter were useful, then things went downhill. The thing I didn't like about this book is the number of pages devoted to all the software you can buy and download to make your Visor really work effectively. It seemed the book was almost completely devoted to third-party software that you needed to buy. I would have been much happier if it dealt with what was on my Visor rather than trying to convince me I needed to sink another [price] into third-party software. This is a great book if you are looking for a resource into third-party software, but a poor book if you just want to use your Visor without spending the money on more software.

Summary: Visor use made simple
Review: I seen this book at Borders. Thumbing through it I knew it was a good buy. Very easy to understand instructions. Reading further it covers most of the popular springboard modules and their use. I showed this to a co-worker, he has a Visor. He said it rules. The photos/illustrations are good. This has opened up so much more that I had not known about. This is a good book for someone whom is considering getting the Visor. This is a exellent reference for the Visor. Even though the Prism is not covered or mentioned,the material should be same. Lastly,you can't go wrong buying this book.

Summary: This book helps a lot!
Review: In a bookstore, I read the other book about learning the Handspring Visor, but I liked this one better. It's laid out better and is easier to understand. I love my Visor, but I felt that I did not know enough about it to get the most out of it. Looking around on the CD that was packed with the Visor was really not any help. I wanted to get into the 'guts' of this little computer, and with this book I have.Only an hour after I bought this book, I had put in my personal info. and set up my Visor in a way that, if lost, someone turning it on would see only one screen--with my personal info, (name, phone number, etc) so that I could get the Visor back in my hands. If I hadn't bought this book, I wouldn't know this. I also learned that the times of the cities in 'City Time' were all wrong for the area of the the country I live in. I decided to set my local city to NYC and the time zones automatically reset. I learned how to set up new categories in most of the files making the Visor work for me, instead of my having to put things in pre-defined files. These few things are just the beginning of what can be done with the Visor. The book also lists some cool Palm apps I'm planning to try. I wish though, that the software had been rated by the authors so I could quickly decide which apps to try and which ones to skip. For this omission, I give the book 4 stars. In all, a very well-written book which I consider an investment in my Visor. If you are even a little confused about using your Visor, buy this book and make your Visor work more efficiently for you!

Review: ok this book is much Like Handspring Visor for Dummies also Visor! I Didn't Know You Could Do That But It does have more pages then either of those books umm all that I can really tell you is this book has great tips,shorcuts,etc and if you want to know more just go and bye it also the book is very hard to find you can't get it at any computer store. thanx.

The electronic user guide that comes with all Visor software is more than adequate to help you really use your new PDA. I bought this book (now to my dismay) hoping to get some better insight, but alas I was disappointed. I could have gotten all the instruction and guidance I needed out of the user guide. Read your guide. If you still have questions pop an email to Visor. They have good customer support.

Review: The Visor is so easy to use you don't need this book. There are no special secrets in this book that makes it worthwhile to buy. Read the documentation that comes with the Visor if you are into knowing every little feature.

Summary: This book should come with all Handspring Visors!
Review: This book is filled with all the information you need on doing tricks with your Handspring. I wish I purchased this book at the same time as my Handspring Visor. But although I used my Visor for a full month before reading the book, there was a lot of information that I learned. At the price of this book, I would highly recommend everyone to purchase this book at the same time that they buy their Visor. The online manual that comes with the Handspring Visor sucks compared to this book. The only downfall to this book was the outdated material concerning the available Springboard modules. But that's how technology will be, always outpacing the books that are written. But I find that information not pertinent to affect my rating of this item. Please do yourself a favor, buy this book!
