Summary: Definitely Worth The Time and Money BUT.....
Review: I teach Final Cut Pro at United Digital Artists (UDA.com) in New York City and this is the book that we give to all of our students. It is an excellent reference guide and by my side when I edit.

BUT

Final Cut Pro 2.0 has just been released and it comes with a 1400 page manual. I look forward to Lisa's revision.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Don't Waste Your Money
Review: I'm befuddled by the fact that anyone would give this book a positive review. The book essentially is just a restatement of the program manual, which, itself, is worthless.

Summary: YOU NEED THIS BOOK!
Review: Ninty-nine percent of the time I find what I need in this exceedingly well organized book. I even skim though it in spare moments to pick up more ideas. Final Cut Pro is an excellent program with lots of flexibility. Why Apple doesn't do this well on a manual I'll never know. Thank you Lisa Brenneis!

Summary: Replaces the (almost)Worthless Manual..

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very well done book.
Review: The book is easy reading without being simplistic. There are real good user notes and lots of real world application tips, as well as in depth feature descriptions. It also contains a keyboard shortcut cheat sheet and an online reference section.

Summary: Excellent Resource
Review: The Final Cut Pro Visual Quickpro guide is well organized, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I got at least 5 usable ideas from browsing my copy, and I refer to it while I'm using the program. Great job.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding
Review: This book cuts into the heart of the program. Lisa deals with each segment of the program in a clear and concise manner. Unlike the manual, this book is easy to follow and a great guide to refer to while editing on your Mac. A must for anybody starting to use the great program.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent reference
Review: This really is a book for people who are already familiar with video editing. since I already knew AVID, this was an excellent book because it just told me what I needed to do in order to operate the program. I would have liked an index of the Final Cut Pro effects, as they are extensive. This book is much better than most AVID books, by the way.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Doesn't cover the bugs
Review: Though the book is informative and well worth the money it doesn't even begin to cover the multitude of bugs asscoiated with FCP which is what really would have helped me.
