Summary: A good book with errors in the tests
Review: Each chapter was about 30 pages, so I was able to read one or two chapters each night. I passed the exam in about 2 months of studying using this book, Books Online that comes with SQL, and Transcender. I had very little knowledge of SQL Server when I started (I am an experienced VB programmer).My only criticism is that the chapter summary quiz questions were only on the CD, instead of in the book, so I just printed them out. Also, explanations of the answers on the quizes were seldom provided - other than reviewing the chapter again. (I prefer New Riders Publishing's approach in this regard). I didn't use the practice tests on the CD, so I can't comment on that. (climbing on soapbox) I'm a big fan of Transcender - but don't send me e-mail looking for my copy. If you're aiming to be a software professional, don't rationalize some excuse for ripping off some other software developer. (climbing off soapbox)

Summary: Book quality makes up for the typos
Review: Has good coverage - this book with Books Online should be enough for preparation. But exam tests your understanding of various conceps - so be sure to understand indexing, remote query, performance etc. Read up Books Online. There are hardly any questions on SQL syntax.

Review: I am impressed with the fast & reliable delivery of the book. It came in the time that was promised. The book, as told ,is in good condition. I would like to shop on this site in future too.
The book is good for exam preparation, but , since I did not get the CD-Rom with it, I need to go to various sites for the exam practice tests like brainbench.com, prometric.com, etc. which will definitely help me to improve my skills before attending the test.

Summary: Great book
Review: I bought this book as a study guide for my MSDBA certification. What I found was an easy-to-read and understand reference guide which will far outlast the passage of the exam. The answers to the questions are not written within the book but are supposed to be on the CD (supplied); however, I cannot seem to retrieve them. Worth while book. I recommend it for anyone working with SQL Server 7.0.

Review: I found the book to be a very good one. It covers all the material that you need -theoretical stuff and the real world stuff. It gave me a very good way to learn every topic. Unfortunately the CD that came with the book wasn't as good. The CD stores the answers for the questions at the end of each chapter in the book. In some cases that wrong answers were given (for example - Null is the same as empty string, OLTP databases should be heavily indexed etc'). I ended up studying with the book and left the CD (In the book I didn't find those mistakes). I hope that they have another edition with a CD that is as good as the book.
