Review: The recipes show a "Nutrition Scorecard" comparing before and after counts for calories, Fat, percent of Calories from fat, Cholesterol and an explanation of of how this was converted from it's high-fat recipe. The chapter "Recipe Makeover Primer" shows how to convert all your favorite high-fat recipes to delicious low-fat ones.

Summary: Low fat cooking has never been better!!!
Review: This cook book is delicious! I was surprised at how good they tasted with out all the fat. Now you can have your food and eat it too!

Summary: One of the best cookbooks for healthy eating
Review: This cookbook is my favorite. As a Dietitian I have used this book in my Healthy Cooking Classes to demonstrate how easily Ms. Tribole's low fat suggestions can be implemented. The recipes have always received rave reviews with the participants returning the following week with their own Helathy Homestyle Cookbook. I am purchasing another copy for myself today as mine is falling apart from being used so much at my home and the homes of many friends and family members. I consider this book an essential in every kitchen.

Summary: Easy, quick, and most of all delicious
Review: This cookbook is wonderful. The recipes that I've tried to date have been easy, quick, and most of all tasteful! My family has enjoyed the meals I've prepared, and haven't even noticed that the fat and calories have been trimmed out of them (they can be very picky about low-cal/low-fat recipes). We enjoy deserts, and really loved the carrot cake and dark chocolate brownies! I would highly suggest this cookbook to anyone!

Summary: Low Fat does not mean Low Taste!
Review: This is by far the best low fat cookbook ever! This book shows that low fat foods can be extremely tasty and good for you! I love the scorecard and the variety of foods. My family has made many of these recipes. Our favorites include Greek Penne Pasta, My Favorite Manacotti, and Hawaiin Chicken!

Summary: The cookbook used most often in my kitchen
Review: Time and again I turn to this cookbook to help me decide what to cook for dinner; it is a gem! There is such a wide variety of dishes that are quick, easy, and tasty. The best thing of all, however, is knowing that they are low in fat. I couldn't live without this book! I love to cook the Greek Penne (adding kalamata olives which increases the fat content, but is oh so yummy) when having guests over because it is delicious, easy, and colorful; everyone asks me for the recipe! This book is a great addition to any cook's library!

Summary: Good old-fashioned food without all the fat
Review: What a pleasant surprise this book has been! I bought it from a discount table at an agricultural fair in Maine and didn't really expect much. It is by far my husband's and my favorite cookbook. The meals are "real food," stuff you can serve your fussy kids and fussy guests. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've tried to date. We highly recommend the Spaghetti with Spicy Italian Meat Sauce -- it is better than any spaghetti sauce we have ever tried, always gets raves when we serve it and yet it has far less fat. Awesome! Other favorites: No Fry Chimichangas, Old Fashioned Beef Stew, Easy Chili, Sweet Potato Puff (great for Thanksgiving and less than half the fat of a version I used to make, and no one can tell the difference). This book is excellent.
