Rating: Summary: The best business book ever written. Review: This is by far the best business book I have ever read, it was enticing, and engrossing. Extremely inspiring. Look for amazing examples of achieving success through Win/Win mentality. 5 Stars/A+ adventure reading. Hard to put down. Yet written in a very soft style, amazing combination. Unique.
Rating: Summary: Daring and inspirational! Review: I love autobiographies! It's fascinating to read the author's explanation of how they accomplished what they did and their insights and attitudes about the rest of the world. I've just finished reading, LOSING MY VIRGINITY. HOW I'VE SURVIVED, HAD FUN AND MADE A FORTUNE DOING BUSINESS MY WAY," by Richard Branson. Mr. Branson's book is written in plain, "British," English, which makes it fun for us, Yanks, to read and decipher. He leads us down his path of rock stars, record stores, tropical islands, hot air balloons and airline wars. He really takes his business to it's limits and seems to have a great time doing it! This book is a wonderful inspiration for anyone just starting up their own business. Tropi-Ties ...everything for the tropical traveler!
Rating: Summary: More vanity-biography than business-insight Review: A good read but I did not find anything new in the way of business insight.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Brilliant Review: I don't think I can start to tell you how good this book is within the 1,000 word limit (set by amazon.com). If you had to pick up one book in your lifetime, this sould be the one! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!
Rating: Summary: A thoroughly entertaining read. Review: As an ex-pat Brit, I was well aware of RB's(and Virgin's) high profile. But this book was a revelation - and a refreshing change from the myriad, usually stuffy, 'how to succeed in business' books available today. "Losing My Virginity" is a thoroughly entertaining and exciting glimpse at the roller-coaster business career and personal lifestyle of a man who, while billion dollar deals may come and go, never loses sight of what really counts - fun, family, integrity and reputation.
Rating: Summary: Very interesting. Review: A good read. An easy read. Quite interesting. I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I also learned alot about how I would NOT want to run my business, and how I do NOT want to run my life. Mr. Branson was quite a scoundrel in his day. This is not to condemn Richard Branson, I appreciate his candor. Simply put, this book just made me feel better about the choices that I have made in my life. I don't envy him. Pick it up.
Rating: Summary: Absolutey Riveting!!! Review: Lively! A breath of fresh air! This is the book can't put down! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! A very uplifting no-nonsense record of how Branson got where he is today, starting from his childhood to the present. Enough said, just read the book!
Rating: Summary: Now That's What I Call A Book!!! Review: It's a great book. Branson is the best example of a self made billionaire who not only knows how to earn his billions, but knows how to enjoy them, too. A must read for all those out there with dreams to make it REAL BIG!!!!
Rating: Summary: Excellent. The most interesting and exciting business book! Review: "Losing My Virginity" is a refreshing change to the usual business autobigraphy. Richard Branson is not like the usual businessman and it reflects in his writing and his experiences.
Rating: Summary: Entrepreneurs to be - here's a practical textbook Review: I've always been a big fan and admirer of Richard Branson and to read his own story in his own words is a real treat! As someone who has been seriously considering starting a company, I found the book useful in addition to being very entertaining. I was surprised to learn that Branson was dyslexic. I've also learned from other readings how many other successful people (Charles Schwab, General Patton, et. al.) have also suffered from dyslexia. The key lessons are here for any aspiring entrpreneur!
