Summary: Entertaining, Sincere, Funny and Genuine!
Review: Jay Leno has let us into his life thru this book. The good times, funny times, trying times and truly personal times. He's as entertaining on paper as he is in person! I have learned to like Jay Leno and enjoy his style of comedy. It took me a while, but this book actually put the finishing touches on my feelings. A really good book, full of fun, laughs, thoughfulness and honesty. Easy to read and most enjoyable. Get to know Jay

This book made me laugh until I cried, and I couldn't resist reading some of his escapades outloud so my husband could laugh too. If you have alot of stress in your life read this and forget your troubles. Jay is humble and you will relate to his embarassing and heartwarming situations.

Summary: the hardest working, nicest, most talented man in show busine
Review: jay, this is the best book i have ever read, it truly is! it has everything that a reader could possibly want in a book. his stories are so heartwarming, that most people including me can relate to. his stories are told from jay's heart, with love to all of his fans. i had a chance of meeting jay back in 1996, the nicest person! He really does care about his fans. i personally think, jay is the funniest person i have ever heard. his comedy is brilliant, other people prefer letterman, or carson's comedy, the more classic, more goaled to the older generation of people. leno, truly has a brilliant, magnificent mind, in the way he does his show every single night of the week, and shows his care for his fans, i will tell you about a recent example, this past thursday night, he did a show in the dark, to help save energy, i know this may not sound like a big deal to most people, but this is just another example, of how nice, and generous he is. i always wish, that i knew him better, like a best friend, he has all the great qualities that i would want in a person, his wife is very lucky!! jay i have been watching you every night, keep up the great work. i hope you never retire, you are truly a genuis at what you do!! hope you have a peaceful and joyful life. godbless. p.s. my birthday is april 28 too, but in the year 1970.

Summary: Jay Leno is one of the best things on Late Night TV
Review: Leading With My Chin is by far one of the best autobiographical books in print. It's funny, its heartwarming.....hey, it's even a little dirty. AJy Leno is a great comedian and a wonderful person. He shows how one man from New England can make it to stardom.

Summary: Stick to the Tonight Show
Review: Not that bad, but Leno is much funnier on t.v. The book focuses on his life and how he made the big time. If you're looking for a biography of Leno, this one is acceptable, but if you're looking for some good laughs--look elsewhere.

Summary: Hilarious, incredible, great book
Review: Since buying this book I re-read it almost every other week, and I still laugh hard at all those stories. A collection of incredibly hilarious stories of Jay Leno's life. Many of them hardly believable and probably exaggerated, but still hilarious as hell.

The book also provides a great opportunity for learning about other comedians of his age that younger generation may not heave heard about, such as Andy Kaufman and Freddy Prinze, not to mention legends such as Johnny Carson and Merv Grifin.

I learned from this book that contrary to popular belief, most of the successes in the entertainment field have been achieved through hard work, not pur chance-of-a-life-time or being-at-right-time-at-right-moment. But Seinfeld and Leno are proofs that just "being funny" is not sufficient to become a successful comedian. Boy, how hard working Jay Leno was in all those years.

Strongly Recommended.

Summary: BUY IT NOW!!!
Review: This book is amazing! I never thought that America's premiere comedian faced much trouble in his life, until I read this book. You will be astounded to know how much he fought through humiliation and huge obstacles to reach the top.If someone told me just one of the stories in this book where Jay gets humiliated as bad as it gets,I wouldn't have believed it,let alone the staggering number of stories that if it weren't Jay who told them, there's absolutely no chance I would believe them.I really appreciate Jay now more than ever after this book.Buy it immediately! It's full of hysterically funny stories that only Jay could make work. I can't recommend it higher.

Summary: Well-written and hilarious
Review: This book is as funny as they get! It's not often that you read an autobiography with such a finely-tuned narrative and all of it laced with plenty of hilarious antedotes. Jay's ability to hone in on the humor of situations he experienced during the 'lean' years is never more apparent than in this book. Despite the hardships, which he portrays without the slightest hint of self-pity or bitterness, he stayed true to his goals. A compassionate man, Jay obviously chooses to see the best in many of the characters he describes in this book; don't be looking for any nasty kiss-and-tell tales here. Above all, the book is a tribute to Jay's parents - and there is nothing contrived or sentimental in the way he shares their story with us. I am looking forward to another book, Jay!
