Rating: Summary: Finally, the Right speaks out! Review: Hannity has written a book that is very articulate and honest about the actions and subsequent consequences of the left wing liberals. Yes Sean is a conservative but he does not introduce a spin when confronting real issues. He tells it like it is and provides evidence to support his claims. Very informative and unbelievably quick reading.
Rating: Summary: Breaks through the lies and manipulation of the EXTREME LEFT Review: Sean Hannity is very intelligent and it comes across in this book when he makes his point. I used to be a liberal myself till I started to listen to the arguments on the other side. Sean Hannity is a conservative and makes no attempt to hide it unlike so many who are part of the left wing. I love watching him point out the lies and stump liberals on a regual basis on his Radio and TV show. This book just goes into further detail of TREMENDOUS DAMAGE that liberals have caused. Its amazing that so few on the left will listen to reason when presented with clear facts of how destructive many of their ideologies are. But if you have an open mind defintely read this book. So many fascinating things that I didn't even really think about are well explained. Any have fun reading. Always keep reading and learning. Its the best way to beat the lies and manipulation.
Rating: Summary: A Conservative Talk-Show Host Unloads on the Left Review: If you've listened to Sean Hannnity's syndicated radio talk-show or seen him on Fox News' Hannity & Combs then you pretty much know where Sean Hannity stands on all the issues in this book, but here he gives you both barrells. I'm probably somewhat more Libertarian than Sean Hannity is, but he is passionate in his defense of America and conservative values. That passion is engrossingly displayed in this book. If there is anything we disagree on it's that Hannity seems to have a bit more faith in our government than I do. In my view, it's not our government that makes America great, it's the protections from that government enumerated in the Bill of Rights that does. Still, I confess a personal passion for traditional values and that's why I really appreciate this book. In it Sean Hannity offers a credible and riveting defense of those principles and values. "Let Freedom Ring" is a clear and concise defense of American conservative principles and stinging indictment of the Socialist American Left. It's unfortunate and objectionable that when someone writes a clear and concise work (IE "easy to read") it's labeled "Dumb" and "Simplistic" by their elitist antagonists. It's happened to Ann Coulter ("Slander") and to a lesser extent to Bernard Goldberg ("Bias") as well. Typically Left-wingers are going to hate this book and conservatives are going to love it - nothing surprising there. If you're an open-minded Left-winger and Sean Hannity doesn't at least make you think twice, than nothing will.
Rating: Summary: WOW....the truth has been told and told well Review: Mr. Hannity has done a great service for the people of this country. I couldn't stop reading the book after I started. If you're looking for a book that not only shows why Liberalism could destroy our nation but also backs it up with facts....look no more.
Rating: Summary: Let Freedom Ring Review: I listen to Sean on the radio and I am a big fan of Hannity & Colmes. When I heard that this book was coming out I knew that this was a book that I would want to read. I was not disappointed with this book. It is everyting that I hoped it would be. Hannity makes no attempt to be Fair and Balanced in this book. That was not his reasons for writing it. Sean want us to be aware of the dangers that we face today, and he's not just talking about foreign threats, he also includes domestic threats. He is basically talking to all Americans, especially Conservatives, that we must act now, if we are to ensure the freedoms that we have today are protected. However, Hannity also makes it clear that liberals are not bad people necessarily, it is just that their ideas are totally wrong for America. We are that Shining City on the Hill, and that we must remember that all those who long for freedom and democracy look to us for guidance and hope. We have a responsibility to them and to ourselves. So we must win the war of liberty over liberalism. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Finally Review: Finally someone has written the facts about those evil liberals. First off I'm a 17-year-old male who is a compassionate conservative who idolizes President George W. Bush, so when I first heard that Sean was writing his own book I was pumped, I was like finally we will find out the truth behind liberals attempts to dismantle the CIA. Who in their right mind would want to get rid of an agency that protects the country? And liberals want to know why we couldn't see September 11th coming, they were to busy trying to get rid of the CIA. This is a must read for anyone who wants to know the truth about liberals and what there really up to, Like how Clinton-Gore refused to have Bin Laden handed over to them on a silver platter.
Rating: Summary: Nothing New To Offer Review: Much of what is written in this book has been written before in other (and better) books by Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, Dinesh D'Suasa, William Bennett, the list goes on. Since this basically a re-hash of more astute commentators, it's just not very interesting.
Rating: Summary: Thank you, Sean! Review: Sean Hannity is wonderful as a true figurehead of the conservative movement. Not only is he honest, intelligent, articulate, and controversially straightforward, but he is also, like most of us, kind, caring, and truly concerned about the future of this nation and its citizens. Although this book will not provide in-depth research details about specific issues, Hannity repeatedly exposes the left with real facts and real arguments. A sort of "Conservatism 101" for those of us who are a little behind on some issues or at least interested in learning what us liberty-lovers really think, "Let Freedom Ring" is a great book for anyone with an open mind.
Rating: Summary: This book stinks Review: The Sean Hannity/Ann Coulter sophomoric rant of "Conservatives good, liberals bad" is getting so old and boring. Most people are in the MIDDLE, when will the far right-wingers & far left-wingers understand that? Regarding Tom Cruise's stupid comments about this country, Sean said on his radio show, "...just like a cancer must be removed from a body to keep it healthy, Tom Cruise should be removed from America to keep us pure." Does a comment like this represent someone who cherishes liberty? No. I thought Cruise's comments were dumb also, but whatever happened to freedom of speech? As for this book, there's nothing new here. Sean fails to mention that the declining defense/intelligence budgets began with Bush Sr., not with Clinton (who he blames for everything). But, then again, Sean is an apologist for almost all Republicans, especially George W. Sean talks about a "war of ideas" in which "civilization is at stake." He seems to believe that all liberal ideology has the potential to destroy civilization! Sean, is it not okay for people to question the president and his war on terrorism? Many people in this country are afraid to criticize President Bush's war policies for fear of being labeled "unpatriotic." Who was it that said, in effect, "In a democracy, descent during wartime is not only acceptable, it's necessary"? Right on.
Rating: Summary: Great read for Conservatives and Fence-sitters Review: As a loyal fan of Sean's nationally syndicated talk show, i grabbed this book its first day out. Sean elaborates on points he's made both on the radio and on Hannity and Combs on Fox News, with a humor and wit that makes this a quick read. Be horrified at how close the U.S. was to grabbing Bin Laden during the Clinton administration! Sit, mouth agape while you read of liberal's anti-military, anti-intelligence bias. Then watch them try and backtrack! Sean is the new voice of conservative America. The inteligence, and guts of Limbaugh, without the pompousness. But if I hear Sean say "silver platter" again, either in print or live, i'll kill myself.
