Summary: even when he's wrong he thinks he's right
Review: The title of my review is in the promo of his radio show and does aptly describe him. I have listened to Hannity on WABC on my drive home from work each day but only for 1 hour. I have only been partially Hannitized. I have also on occasion watched parts of the Hannity and Colmes show on the Fox News network. Any regular listener of his show would know what to expect in this book. It is a clear and uninterrupted account of his views. The book presents his views on politics, abortion, the war on terrorism, American education, etc. The theme is the danger he sees in members of the liberal left wing of the Democratic Party. He has his facts right and present his case well.

I am a middle of the road Democrat, so there is a "but" coming in my comments. On some issues his interpretation is dead wrong and I think that his tactics somewhat like those of Ann Coulter paint an exaggerated picture of evil and danger on the left just as they rightfully complain about the dangerous and evil picture the Democrats effectively portray of conservatives.

First, I agree with him about the moral decay in the country, I agree that our primary and secondary school education needs an overhaul and I agree that some Democrats like Tom Daschle hold extreme views and could be dangerous if they ascend to the Presidency. I disagree with him on his admiration of Reagan and North and his deamonizing of Hilliary Clinton. Hilliary and Bill Clinton do come across as phonies but their politics is not dangerous to America.

To make my point, Hannity believes that it was Reagan's efforts to build up the Defense Department that led to the end of the cold war. He also thinks that the Democrats that supported unilateral arms reduction put the nation at risk. I see it differently. During the Reagan years I was working for the US Air Force Space Defense program. Everyone knowledgeable on "Star Wars" knew that a missile defense system was dangerous because it would be extremely expensive, impossible to thoroughly test, and probably would not work. Also even to do research in the area was destabilizing because if the Soviets felt they couldn't match us they might strike first fearing that we might do the same when our system was in place.

The nuclear missile build-up was insane. Each side had more than enough arms to destroy the other 10 times over! So SALT and other arms limitation and negotiations provided hope to break the insane cycle of build-up and bring about trust. The threat of an accidental launch that would spiral into a devastating nuclear war was real. The Democrats in proposing unilateral reductions were looking for a way to calm the Soviets fear of us and gain trust that would lead to bilateral disarmament (of course never would we completely eliminate our arsenal). It was not a sign of weakness. Being Macho all the time can cause problems.

Reagan happened to be in the right place at the right time. The Russians spent themselves into bankruptcy trying to keep pace with our missile defense development. Gorbachev came along and was receptive to the peace process. This I think would have happened with a Democrat or a Republican in the White House.

This is a highly entertaining and well researched book. Read it. I think you can trust that Hannity has his facts right. But don't always be taken in by his rhetoric. I think his views do follow those of mainstream America. I agree with him on many issues but do not follow him blindly as many of his regular callers do.

I give him 4 stars for hard work, thought and persuasiveness. He also is kind to Democrats. He even has an extreme leftwinger, Flipper as his call screener. I take one star away because "even when he's wrong he's sure that he is right".

Summary: Right or wrong??? Hannity is 99% right!
Review: Finally, it is nice to read a book that is about LIBERTY, FREEDOM, and CHOICES. Sean Hannity may say he is a conservative, but deep down he is showing you the difference between right and wrong. Throughout his book, he points out what is right and what is wrong, and explains it. He is for the people and it clearly shows throughout the book. He explains that liberty should be protected, not attacked. He explains how liberals attack liberty, because they attack choices that every American makes. Restricting choices is restricitng freedom. Hannity shows how Republicans are pro-choice. We are a free nation, because we have the ability to choose. Let's not lose from freedom today, so I, along with Sean Hannity, ask everyone to protect our freedoms today.

Summary: Sean Hannity delivers the final punch
Review: Excellent read. Hannity delivers the most compelling reasons why liberals and the Democratic party should be barred from having any influence on our governments and our culture.
As for his views on the government, one ends the book realizing that, without the impediments forced by the federal government on business and future development, we would be a far freer nation if conservative local governments were to lead the nation in this new century.

Summary: Well written, opinionated, and fun.
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It was well written, well laid out, and fun to read. The topics were very timely, and important to issues facing us right now. Sean backs up his opinions with data, though I would have liked to have seen more data and statistics. Skeptics and people who don't agree with his opinions would point that out as the shortcoming of this book, though fans of Mr. Hannity would not. The topics of this book are freedom, choice, and a Laissez Faire attitude to government, economics, and life choices. Sean supports a strong defense against the dangers facing us in the world today. This is a very good book to read to get a modern conservative viewpoint on the world today. Mr. Hannity is the foremost voice of conservative values today: A great read.

Summary: Could have been better...
Review: Although I feel Hannity is on the right side of most arguements (no pun intended) I felt the book came off as being somewhat light-weight. It brings up a lot of great points, but others have written better books about them.

Summary: Sean's Views On Everything
Review: Sean Hannity is a 100% pure Republican conservative and proud of it, make no mistake. He weaves his way through many subjects in this book but the constant denominator is his view of the despised liberal left. Throughout the almost 300 pages he only mentioned one good thing about a Democrat and only one bad thing about a Republican.

But his views are interesting. If you look past his disdain for the left he makes sense on most things. In the very beginning of the book he professes his beliefs in the Military, his faith, his family and the flag of the United States. He expresses his views on a wide variety of subjects including education, slavery, Joe Clark, nukes, abortion, drilling for oil in Alaska, energy independence, taxes, Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, CNN, Ted Turner, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Fox News Channel, Rush Limbaugh, freedom and responsibility, the Contras, Oliver North, God, America and raising children. He consistently blasts the Democratic leaders in Congress but offers the facts for his conclusions. He talks of the terrorists threats we now face as well as the CIA both past and present. He talks of his love of New York City and the people there (where he is a talk radio host on the coveted afternoon "drive time" slot).

Make no mistake, this is a conservative book, written by a conservative man. But Sean Hannity is an intelligent man with strong beliefs based on his vast knowledge gathered by his position as both a talk radio host and a leader of the Hannity and Colmes television show on Fox News Channel.

This is a very good book for all to read. For the Democrats so they can see why they are despised by the right. For the Republicans so they can rally around their view points. For the student of politics or recent history for the unique perpectives from an intelligent man with deep knowledge of what has been going on in the United States and the world. A classic already.

Summary: His Prose Is As Insipid As His Verbiage
Review: Let me say upfront that I am a conservative, campaigned for Reagan, voted for Bush -- the whole nine yards. Having said that, I CANNOT recommend this book. Sean, who seems like a nice enough guy, is just not very intelligent. What he writes in his book is basically a re-tread of things that Rush has said and written in a much more intersting and thoughtful way. Sean is a lightweight and so is his book. Nothing new at all. To be honest, I wish that Sean and I didn't share the same political philosphy. He comes across as so dumb that it's embarrassing to have him on my side.

Summary: Book is Way To Bias
Review: I realise that Sean Hannity is a Conservative but Still, this Book is neither "Fair Nor Balanced". An Author who writes about politics should at least try and see the point of view from the other side. Unfortunatley, Sean Hannity' view on politics is very simple Liberals are evil and conservatives are good. He also comes off as Very Rascist! Dont waste your money on this book!

Summary: Perfect read on the eve of Sept 11th
Review: This book affirms the greatness of America through logically constructed discourse. It follows in the footsteps of such recent hits as D'Souza's "What's So Great About America". Sean Hannity is one of those conservative talk show hosts you might have heard on your way home from work a few times but never gave him a chance. This personality, however, might some day overtake Rush Limbaugh's throne as the premier voice of freedom and reason on America's airwaves.

Sean, ignore all the negativity. You've got what it takes!

Summary: One of the best books ever written!!!!
Review: I can't wait for the movie to come out!! I've been a Sean Hannity fan since his days at the News Monster (WGST) in Atlanta from 1992 to 1996. Sean tells it like it is. Aside from his serious side of the issues, he has a fantastic sense of humor which is evident on his WABC Radio show and on Fox News Channel. This book gets to the point of Sean's beliefs. He lets the opposition speak their mind, but he has the facts. Fantastic book.
