Rating: Summary: I laughed so hard, I cried. Review: This book is addictive. I call friends and tell them I'm going to read them one letter. An hour later, I'm still reading. Whenever I get to "Pip The Mighty Squeak", I start laughing so hard that no sound comes out. Which is a bad thing when you're on the phone. My question is this -- since Ted L. Nancy is a mystery, does that mean that he'll never do a book signing? Kathy Weiss v-kathyw@microsoft.com
Rating: Summary: An OK book, but not all that funny. Review: Ted Nancy sends a bunch of letters to people, his letters are rather crazy... and boring. There are the occasional funny letter, like the shrimp costume and the letter to the King of Tonga. But his endless letters to casinos will bore you. The similar, but much better, book "Wilber Winkle has a Complaint", is better if you are interested in prank letters.
Rating: Summary: hilarous! Review: Ted L. Nancy has done a very good job making me laugh. the letters were funny and kind of silly, I loved it!!
Rating: Summary: Ted L. Nancy is a genius and inspiration! Review: Ted L. Nancy is a genius and inspiration. To proudly display his desire to see the world and share with others in spite of so many hurdles shows courage and determination we all could learn from.
Rating: Summary: If you like this book, Review: If you like this book, you'd also enjoy "Idiot Letters" by Paul Dunn
Rating: Summary: "Laugh out loud funny" Review: This book is to the written word what the "Jerky Boys" were to the prank phone call. Not all letters hit the bulls-eye, but the ones that do will make you laugh til you cry
Rating: Summary: "Letters from a Nut" is great fun! Review: I give a 10...these letters are the funniest I've ever seen. One hilarious letter after another, I
wanted the book to go on forever! Took it to work
(a call center) and had lots more fun watching my
co-workers go hysterical reading, and then seeing
and hearing them try to stop the hysterics as the next call dropped in!
Rating: Summary: Innovative humor Review: I found myself laughing loudly in the bookstore as I read a few pages of the book before buying it.
Besides just being a very funny book, this publication can be used as a reference for selective humor such as ice breakers for getting meetings and discussions off the ground. The author was able to utilize very legitimate situations for the basis of his comedy. The structure of the pages with actual text from the responding organizations on business letterhead makes the issue of communicating very bizarre situations to others so legitimate.
Rating: Summary: You'll bust a gut reading "Letters from a nut"
Review: Whether author 'Ted L. Nancy' is really Lazlo,Jerry Seinfeld, or a team of Jerry's ingeniouswriters, you'll bust a gut reading "Letters from a nut. Every letter is an entrance by Kramer, a shove from Elaine, or a neurotic moment with George. I've never loaned a book to so many people (who rushed out to get their OWN copy!). Get a buncha yucks and save a few bucks by buying "Letters from a nut" at amazon.com. The only equal will be a sequel!
Rating: Summary: Funniset use of spare time in '97! Review: Very seldomnly does creativity blossom in such ways as in thisbook. Mr. Nancy does a supurb job of not only writng about a varitetyof things, but he does it with such sincerity that you actually belive what he is writing. Mr Nancy blends both humor and, at times, sincerity to such a a degre that the only outcome can be unbriddled laughter and a smile that lasts for a week. It is obvious that Mr. Nancy had quite a bit of free time, and after reading this book, you will be glad he used it so wisely.
