Rating: Summary: IF YOU ONLY BUY ONE MAGIC BOOK EVER, MAKE IT THIS ONE! Review: This is THE sleight of hand book! A step-by-step guide to almost every sleight created! Bill Tarr explains how to do the sleights in an easy and understandable way and the illustrations are so good that you could learn the sleights alone from them! If you only buy one magic book ever, DEFINITLY make it this one!
Rating: Summary: Good but sometimes incomplete Review: This was one of the first magic books I read. I put it down, read a few more, watched a few videos and then picked it up again. It made more sense with a little bit of background information. The tricks are rated as to difficulty, but the rating scale is a little inconsistent. Some of the harder tricks I find to be easy and vice versa. I like the diversity of the book and think it is a great addition to anybody's library.
Rating: Summary: Not a bad book, but not good either. Review: While the book itself covers many different illusions that are quite common to the avid magician, the book fails to provide very good descriptions of how to perform the illusion. Honestly, spend the extra cash and buy both the royal road to card magic and bobos coin magic book to actually get a better start.
Rating: Summary: Great Magic Book Review: With many sleights and great magic tricks this is easily one of the best books on magic ever written. There are betters, but this is one of the best. It is very clesr, but does have bad illustrations. This is great and I would recommend it for any intermediate magician.
