Summary: Loaded with Valuable Information
Review: A complete discussion of all aspects of baccarat from card counting to systems play. Scoblete masterfully takes the reader into the ins and outs of this fascinating game and shows how to really lower the house take on your money and how to get what he calls the "monetary edge." The book is fascinating and fun. Scoblete is an excellent writer. As I said in the title of this review, the book is loaded with valuable information.

Summary: Excellent Book for Baccarat
Review: Baccarat Battle Book is the best book I ever read on baccarat. I found out that I have been playing the mini version of the game instead of playing the big version which I can afford to play. This book shows you exactly how to reduce the house edge on the amount of money you bet. I recommend it.

Summary: Loved This Book
Review: Baccarat Battle book is the first book that really shows you how to play baccarat with some confidence. It doesn't hold up incredibly difficult methods such as tracking shuffles and so on as the way to play. Instead Mr. Scoblete shows us how tolower commissions on the Bank bet and how to control the pace in order to get more comps for less action. I enjoyed the book and it is very well written.

Summary: Prepare for Battle!
Review: Frank Scoblete has written another great book on a casino game. This time it's baccarat and he shows you very clearly why baccarat is a great game and why mini-baccarat can be one of the most dangerous games. His level-headed approach to casino games and his awesome writing talents have made Scoblete the top writer in the field of gaming. BBB is a great book and will prepare you to play a very tight game against the casino. I loved it!

Summary: ok for beginers, not much advanced info
Review: Frank Scoblete is (IMHO) one of the best gambling authors around, but this book of his falls short of the mark compared to his others. There's a lot of basic information but nothing really new for someone who is experienced at the game of baccarat already.

In Scoblete's books on blackjack and craps, you get a feel for his passion and love for the games as well his vast knowledge drawn from years of experience as a player. In this book, however, I felt that he was writing about a game that he just plain didn't care about quite as much. There wasn't as much joy or thrill in his writing. I suspect that he isn't really all that enthusiastic a baccarat player, but that he wanted to crunch out a book on the game to help round out his coverage of all casino games. Note, for example, that he mentions in one place that he went out and played sessions of baccarat specifically as research for this book. In other words, the game isn't one he plays in the normal course of things.

Overall, it's not a bad book for beginners, and if you like the style of his other books, you'll laos like this one. I guess that I've come to expect so much from his books, and this one fell just a bit short of my expectations.

Summary: Great Resource for Serious Baccarat Players
Review: Frank Scoblete's book is well written and really explores the dimensions of what on the surface appears to be a rather simple game. Scoblete shows us how to get a monetary edge at baccarat in a very clever way. This book is enjoyable to read because the author is very knowledgeable.

Summary: I Discovered a Great Game
Review: I had never been interested in baccarat before but I am a Frank Scoblete fan so I bought this book. It was worth it. First of all, like all Scoblete's books that I have read, it is first rate. It is fun to read and just analyzes the game thoroughly. Scoblete shows why the traditional game of baccarat is much better than the mini version. He also explains how to really reduce what the house wins by maximizing comps and by using an ingenious strategy for reducing the commission on the Bank bet from 5 percent to 4 percent. I hve tried this strategy in five casinos and had success in two of them. Scoblete also analyzes over 40,000 decisions at baccarat and explains why these are very lose to the probability of what happens in the math. I wish I had better powers of writing because I know I am not doing this book justice. It turned me on to baccarat and I am loving every minute of it!

Warned you!

Summary: Comprehensive Book
Review: Like all of Frank Scoblete's books that I have read this is a comprehensive exploration of baccarat. Frank interviews John May and discusses various advantage play methods May has developed. Frank also shows how to get the best bang for your buck by making certain types of wagers and by only playing in vertain types of games. His advice about "pushing the house" on commissions was the most original thing I ever read about baccarat in any book ever written about the subject. if you play baccarat, this is a must read book.

Summary: Great New Book by Scoblete
Review: Scoblete does a very interesting experiment in this book. He copmpares 40,000 hands of baccarat betting bank or player on each and shows how the casino edge manifests iself in this run. He explains how to reduce the edge by betting select amounts on bank hands that the casino will pay off at a 4 percent commission instead of 5. Very ingenious. As with all Scoblete's books, it is excellently written and shows why he is the top gambling writer in the world. I learned many important things from this book and one was to stay away from mini-baccarat! I highly recommend this to casino players.
