Summary: I feel great!
Review: I started this diet 3 months ago and have lost around 25 lbs. I went from 155 to around 130, lower than I was in high school. I feel nothing but great on this diet, and look better than I did when I was heavily into figure skating and worked out everyday for 14 years. I'm sick of hearing everyone who has had bad experiences with this diet go off on it. How can consuming low amounts of sugar be harmful to you? Maybe if some of the people who have failed at this or think it's bad for you should read the book, then have an opinion on it. I have never felt better or looked better, and I know that all of you out there who think that "low-fat" is the way, good luck, but I'm gonna stick with something that actually works.

Review: I have just finished my 14 day induction diet and feel great. I have lost a total of 14 pounds!!!! I recommend this book to anyone that has been wanting to lose weight but not know where to start buy this book read it and get started!!

Summary: This diet works for me
Review: I'm from Honduras, i'm 29 nine years old, my stature is 1.55 cm and my weight was 134 ponds, i start the induction diet last week and i have lost six pound until now,people say that i'm wrong and i'm going to be sick later an other bad things about the diet, i don't care because it work for me and i happy with this diet. I now that i have to loss more weight, but i'm going on my way.

Summary: The Dr. Atkins Diet plan in my opinion is great!
Review: In February 1998 I went to my doctor for a check-up. My weight at that time was 280 lbs and I was always tired and sleeping all the time. He ran some blood tests and found that my blood sugar was high (416) and that I had to loose weight and go on this 1200 calory diet plan. I was very upset and when glancing at the diet plan, I said to myself, there is no way I can stick to this diet plan. I would always be hungry, but I knew I had to loose weight because I did not want to take medication. Then I remembered my sister-in-law sent me a diet plan in the form of a book which she had tried and lost a lot of weight. The book was put away for 5 years. Then I remembered where I put it and the name of the book was "Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution". I began to read it and I got very excited because what I was reading made since. Doctors tell you, you need to each so many helpings of fruits and vegetables, starches and grains but my body is not able to break all of those carbohydrates down and therefore I gain weight. I immediately started this diet and in one week I had to go back to the doctor to check my blood sugar again and the doctor was amazed I had lost 5 lbs in one week. He thought his diet plan was working, little did he know I was on a no-carbo diet plan. I went to the doctor three weeks in a row and each week I lost between 4-6 lbs. It has now been 18 months later and I have lost a total of 52 lbs and have not regained. This have become a way of life for me and I love it. There was a time when I hated to take pictures and if someone did take a picture of me I would not look at it. Now I can take a picture and actually like what I see. I still have more pounds to loose, but I am convinced that this diet plan works. My blood sugar is normal, my triglycerides are low and I am working on getting my cholesterol down. I have been an advocate for this diet plan from the first time I tried it. I have started a revolution in my church and my family by telling them about the plan and encouraging them to just try it. There were several that did and have lost weight and were very pleased with the plan. Again, this is a great diet plan and it really does work!!!! Try it for yourself.

Summary: A little long winded, but full of great info.
Review: As a low-fat diet and WW veteran, I can now admit that those diets do not work for me. I am definitely a carb-addict as well as a sugar addict. When those 2 things are in my diet, I will 99% of the time overeat. When I overeat, I gain weight.

At 60 pounds overweight I needed to try a new angle. I read the Carbohydrate's Addict Diet book and found it fascinating, so I decided to order this book and found the info even more fascinating.

I started this diet August 16th, and after just 10 days, I have lost 9 pounds and I feel wonderful. I now have new energy to walk 2 miles every night with my family.

My mood swings have lifted and I'm a much happier person overall.

I personally think the foods allowed are fabulous. It doesn't have to be a high-fat diet like those of you don't agree with this diet claim. Choose lower fat cheeses and lean cuts of meat if it's a problem. I have never felt more satified and I don't crave junkfood any longer.

All-in-all, this diet isn't for everyone...we all agree on that. It works better for those who have a bit more to lose, like myself.

Try it for 14-days like Atkin's suggests and see for yourself. What have you got to lose? A few pounds? What have you got to gain? Energy? A feeling of satisfaction and control? Yes.

Summary: Awesome diet that really works!
Review: After purchasing the book and starting the diet in April of 1999, I am in the Maintenance phase and after reaching my goal (in just 2 months -- 30 pounds) I am able to keep it off.

It is so easy to follow this diet, but you must be committed. Read the book from cover to cover before starting the program and follow Dr. Atkin's recommendations completely! When you cheat, you will know it -- especially in the induction phase.

Another recommendation... go through the program with a friend or spouse. You will need the support and it's easier to prepare the meals that way.

Summary: So far, so good!
Review: I only wanted to lose my last 10 pounds. I was approaching 128, and want to be 118. I know that doesn't sound like much difference, but it certainly is for me. And I have NEVER been able to purposely shed a pound in my life. I have been on the Adkins diet for 3 weeks, and have lost 6 pounds! I could never find testimonials for people like me who weren't overweight to begin with, so I started this diet "blind". But it has done a good job for me, and has even "forgiven" me when I cheated. 6 pounds!! Yay!

Summary: The easiest weight loss program I've ever been on !
Review: In May I bought a dress for my son's August 14th wedding. In mid June I started the Atkins program. By Aug. 7 I lost 22 lbs. and needed to have the dress taken in 2 sizes!! I am never hungry, and feel terrific. I'm Italian and I don't even miss pasta!!

Summary: THIS DIET WORKS
Review: BELIEVE ME THIS DIET WORKS! THE MAIN REASON I STARTED THIS DIET WAS OBVIOUSLY TO LOSE WEIGHT, BUT ALSO TO GET MY MOTHER TO TRY IT FOR HER DIABETES. (SHE'S A TWO SHOT A DAY INSULIN DEPENDANT DIABETIC). HER SUGAR LEVEL IS IN THE NORMAL RANGE NOW (IT USED TO BE OVER 200). CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE REDUCING YOUR INSULIN THOUGH. ALSO HER CARDIOLOGIST RECOMMENDED THAT SHE STAY ON THIS DIET BECAUSE HE HAS ALOT OF PATIENTS WHO HAVE HAD TREMENDOUS RESULTS ON IT. (SHE WAS NOT SURE THE DOCTOR WOULD APPROVE OF IT) BUT THE PROOF FOR HER IS THAT HE THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT WAY TO CONTROL SYMPTOMS OF CARDIAC PROBLEMS NOT TO MENTION DIABETES AND WEIGHT CONTROL. SO FAR I'VE LOST 20LBS IN A MONTH AND THEY ARE STILL COMING OFF. FOR THE NAYSAYERS, SAY WHAT YOU WILL BUT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE ACTUALLY TRIED THIS DIET ARE CONVINCED THAT IT WORKS.

Summary: It works!!!!!
Review: If you want to lose weight get this book! I started the diet without knowing about this book. My friend told me the basic idea of the diet and I started it. About a week through I found this book. It answers many questions of why it works and how everyone has lied to us our whole life about nutrition. I lost 15 lb on my first 2 weeks. If I didnt get the book I would not have learned how to keep it off. I just cant believe how we have been lied to. Its like an X-files episode! The truth is out there. Buy the book, start the diet, lose weight, and live a happy healthy life.
