Rating: Summary: Read this book and give one to a good friend in need Review: I found "How to Survive the Loss of a Love" to be very comforting in my time of need. The text gave me a solid perspective and a sense of hope at a time when I wasn't thinking clearly. Many of the poems express thoughts and feelings that are so close to my own that they bring immediate solice. The book is short and reads very quickly - just perfect for someone whose mind is focussed on their pain and thus isn't in a mood for deep concentration. I recommend buying one for yourself and another one for a friend.
Rating: Summary: A Comfort To Read Review: This book is a classic for those who are going through a loss. Facing loss is not easy, it's painful. Most people avoid feeling the pain of their loss by running from it. They either run to the arms of another or they deny it. But for those with the courage to face their pain, let this book be your guide. The book is like a friend that really understands you and what you're going through. It tells you that its okay to be feeling what you're feeling and directs you to the way of healing. Though your eyes may be clouded with tears and you may not even know where all of the pieces of your heart have been scattered to...hang in their... and let this book bring you hope.
Rating: Summary: This book is what's keeping me sane right this moment Review: I consider myself very lucky to have found a copy of it.. It is really really helpful, trust me. I don't think "I will run out of poems before I run out of pain" as long as I can read the poems in this book. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: No time for feeling burnt? read this fast! Review: I read it 3 months after my relationship ended. Took and hour to read... and it gave a decent amount of clarity to the way I'd been feeling. It would have been useful as a quick fix at the begining of my loss... but because of it's bullet point style... understanding some of the ideas may need further clarification. I recommend also reading Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends by Bruce Fisher and Mars and Venus Starting Over by John Gray. all three gave me a leg up when I needed it most.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely unique and priceless Review: I have had a copy of this book for over 20 years and I have sent it to people instead of a sympathy card. Almost everyone I have sent it to said that they read it over and over again.
Rating: Summary: a Classic Review: My mother sent me this book when I was going through a divorce in the late 1980s. It helped me during a very difficult time and guided me through the steps to healing. Since then, I've given it to every family member and friend who has experienced a love loss, whether it be divorce, death, lay-off or any of a number of causes that can plunge one into despair. If you're looking at this review while pondering a purchase, I can give my unqualified recommendation. This is one of the few books I don't hesitate to recommend to everyone!
