Summary: Not much substance.
Review: This book is fluffy and trite. I attended a seminar in NYC around May 1999, that Susan Rubin conducted based on this book (then read the book). Again - trite, cutesee, and at times a bit condescending.

With the plethora of at least decent dating books out there, don't bother with this one.

Summary: Not acceptable
Review: This book is ok. Some might find it useful. I'd say someone new to flirting completely will get more from this book that someone who is looking to improve their flirting skills. Many of the examples Susan Rabin gives are cliche' and outdated. I was shocked at how similar this book was to the information publicly available at http://www.sirc.org/publik/flirt.html from the Social Issues Research Center in Oxford.

Summary: Disappointment
Review: This book really is a disappointment, especially after I read all these positive reviews on here. The author seems more intereted in being bombastic than getting her point of view across and those with a limited vocabulary are going to need to pick up a dictionary with this selection.

This book, altho crammed with advice, adds nothing to the genre whatsoever, and taking notes on a discussion with your mother on this topic can save you your 12 dollars. Furthermore, speaking as a guy, most of this advice will make you come off as too nice, which is not what you'd like to do, especially if you're interested in the lady you're conversing with.

Unless you're as blind as a bat in the area in your life, you can do much better than this book.

Summary: Should have been able to smell the book before I bought it
Review: This book was so bad that I could not keep awake to read the whole thing. It had nothing new to add to the mystery of dating. The book knocked my dating skills back so badly that I could not even score with my own hand after I read it. My advise is to keep far away from this book and if you have it, burn it quick.

Summary: Great fun and easy to read!
Review: This book was so much fun and so easy to read that I read it in one night. The advice was practical and easy. Definitely "doable". The day after finishing the book, I actually had the nerve to try one of the techniques and for the first time in all my reading of "self-help" books, the technique WORKED. What a relief to know that old dogs CAN be taught new tricks. If you are still single or single again and have trouble connecting, this is the book for you.

Summary: Very good book, even if you are a little shy.
Review: This is a great book. I have found that by using some of the techniques, it gives me confidence because I "know" what I am supposed to be doing if I want to flirt with someone. Many of the points in this book are similar to those in "How to Make Anyone Fall in Love with You", except this book is not as scientific. I suggest reading this book, go out (anywhere) and start using the techniques to flirt (remembering you are not looking for your wife/husband in everyone you flirt with). It will help eliminate some of the shyness some of us feel when it comes to flirting and using these techniques helps maintain a safe distance for some rejection if all you are looking for in the beginning are a few smiles from that attractive woman (trust me, you can get them.. got two yesterday in about an hour.. those smiles made my day). Then, after applying these techniques, get the book "How to Make Anyone Fall in Love with You" and find out how you screwed up on that last date (trust me, I found out how I screwed up with the last 2 girls I was interested in and it became clear how, in one day, I did the things that "turned off" someone that seemed interested just the day before) and how you can use the flirting techniques with more in-depth scientific techniques. These books go together well and are probably the only ones I would think are necessary for becoming educated in relationships and meeting people. There are still barriers that will always be there, like rejection and shyness, but this book and "How to Make Anyone Fall in Love with You" provide a "roadmap" for those of us who would like a checklist of things to do (even when it's not always so clear).

Summary: Guide for the Master Flirt
Review: This is my bible. Everything I know about flirting and attracting guys comes straight from this text. So insightful, and very well written, plus it answers all questions. If you are wondering whether you should get it or not... GET IT!!! it will help immensely!

Summary: It's a good start in the right direction
Review: This is the kind of book for young, single people who are just getting into the dating world. There are a lot of tips in here that will jump start them into being more appealing to the opposte sex. For those of us who are older, and wiser, you may want to pass on this one. All though, there are some things in here that you may have forgotten in the past. It's still worth a look, in case you may have forgotten the little things that can help you on being more appealing and interesting to the opposite sex.
