Review: A friend recommended Individual Power to me after I had lost nearly everything in my life. I can't thank my friend enough for the recommendation and the difference this book has made in my life. Barbara Rose brought me real answers without all the fluff, and showed me how to claim my "core, truth and life" through this book. It is a sincere read with answers from a woman that has clearly been through her own "dark night of the soul" and shares how to come out of it authentically. On top of her book, I have found her website www.borntoinspire.com to be filled with pages upon pages of answers. Thank you Barbara for the work that you do. Your work has made a tremendous difference in my life.

Review: After reading 'If God Was Like Man' by Barbara Rose, I was quite amazed and delighted at the depth of the wisdom, answers, and insight 'Individual Power' has brought to me.
This book was also written 'through' Barbara, however it reads as if you are sitting with your best friend in first person.
It covers an amazing scope of topics ranging from your own unique purpose in this life and how to both access it as well as bring it to life; Issues we are all facing in society with solutions that are both written with peace, insight, and some ahead of their time; Part three 'Evolving Spiritually' is a great read, filled with clear and easy to understand answers as to our spiritual evolution that carries no judgment or any path that one must follow.
The entire book is yet another contribution to my life that has made a great difference for which I am grateful. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for answers to propel your life forward. This book certainly delivers them.

Summary: Quite a powerful treasure
Review: I can't say enough about this gem of a book. It really reached me with Barbara Rose's astounding ability to write in such a way that this book reached the depths of my heart and soul. I was amazed to learn that this book was written just as she wrote her other fantastic book 'If God Was Like Man' as she 'took dictation' from God, yet in this book it is in first person. In 'Individual Power' I learned how to completely re-vamp my entire life and how to create a life based on what I love, as opposed to what I think I must do to stay ahead in our society.
There are pivotal solutions about the many problems that society is facing, and they are authentically mind opening and unbiased. I learned a great deal about spiritual communication, and much to my surprise, the many techniques given in this book have already started to make a significant difference in my life.
If you are looking for a truly authentic read, I strongly recommend both this book, as well as 'If God was like man' because they have both made an equal and enormous difference in my life. Truly treasures of wisdom and enlightenment!

Summary: A Male Perspective on Individual Power
Review: I originally found this book doing an on line search and came upon Ms. Rose's website www.borntoinspire.com where she provides a wealth of information and I decided to buy both of her books.
I have to say that I was happily surprised at the candor, humility, and sincere depth of wisdom in Individual Power. This is a great book, whether you are male or female.
What I found most appealing and helpful is how Ms. Rose shares how to re-create your entire life, especially if you have hit a fork in the road and have no idea as to how to turn your life around, and start over, from scratch.
The book has three sections, Personal Empowerment, Empowering Society at Large, and Evolving Spiritually. Each section is written from the heart, while giving a higher perspective to uplift your life in all areas.
If you're a male, don't hesitate to buy this book. It is well worth the read.

Review: I read this book, and all i can say is "WOW". I could fully relate to everything that was said in this book. It gave me some helpful tips on things i was not aware of. i can honestly say this book is worth what you will pay for it. If you are looking for answers to some things on individual power, the title of this book should definitly catch your eye, cuase it did mine.Whats weird is i am a male and i fully understood this perception on things, so if you are male, don't hesitate to read it.

Summary: What is new? Nothing here..personal agenda.
Review: In my opinion, there is no substance to this book, no new insights. What is found in this book has already been published. If you need a reminder of what you probably already know then this may be a good refresher book. As a book lover I am considering actually tossing this one in the garbage can as I would not give it to any body, or pass it along.

The author is also obviously quite bitter over a child custody "battle", I think her words here are poorly chosen...we should not battle over our kids. In the back she has letters you can copy and send out her message, with your signature. These letters are biased. Many times custodial parents are not given a chance to have partial custody of their kids, so if they want to fight for it later, not because the kids are being abused...just merely because they love their kids..I don't see why I would want to suggest a law that says no to this?

What about the many Fathers (who RARELY) get custody of their kids, have custodial parents, Moms, that NEED the child support because they won't work? Many of these Men are automatically denied half parenting rights and are wiped out each month financially, while the Mom (or the custodial parent) has NO legal financial obligations or work obligation. If Fathers, or non custodial parents, are legally bound to work and show financial support, why are non-custodial parents not given the same criteria? I am sure it was a luxary for this woman to be able to write while she collected child support, we should all be so lucky...but really I don;t know that, it is just a guess.

I think the author also demeans readers by suggesting, or rather saying, "Our children are not to be fought over like property".....yes, most of us know this. I doubt people who don't know this would be reading self help books anyway. She also marks the "anniversary" of her child custody battle. I wonder how her children feel about this?, or will feel about it when in the future they read their Mom's book...which they will. When you demean a child's parent, no matter how lame you think they are, you take a small part of your child with the comment.
These are my feelings. Reading through the reviews other people really enjoyed the book though..so on that you may want to try it?
