Summary: Not bad at all
Review: This was an interesting book that was written from the perspective of one who has actually done what they have written about. The author does an excellent job of describing his experiences as a top sniper for the USMC. The only fault I noticed was that it was too "pro-military". (I have read MANY books on the Vietnam conflict and have the perspective with which to judge this.)

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not great, but good.
Review: This wasn't a bad book if you wanted to know about the history of sniping. The stories from real-life snipers read like a novel, and they were entertaining. However, if you want to know about the applications and tools of snipers, this book isn't worth it.

Summary: A Hidden Strength Rises Up
Review: Time after time, people find that one of the most valuable soldiers on the battle field is the sniper. Their simple motto of "One shot: one kill" is all they need to live by. The enemy's life is cheap. It only takes one bullet to kill him.
I am not much of a book-reader, but this was quite possibly the most fascinating book I have ever laid eyes on. Chronicling the achievements of such men like Carlos Hathcock and John Fulcher put war in perspective for me. You never hear the one with your name on it. This lifestyle is hell, not glory. It's not one of those John Wayne movies where the good guy always wins. It's horrible and life-scarring, as illustrated in this book. I would gladly read it another ten times.

Summary: Clearing up a misunderstanding
Review: To the reader who stated that "One Shot--One Kill" is a latecomer to the sniper book genre, it predates the three books mentioned. One Shot--One kill came out in 1989, predating the submitter's examples by years, and is NOW in 9th printing! This book is also on several recommended reading lists in both the Army and US Marines. Craig Roberts, co-author
