Summary: Hounds Abound!
Review: As a lover and owner of 2 Basset Hounds, I found this book to be a delightful look at the life of this unique, expressive and extremely entertaining breed. The book is a photographic essay of Maggie's life with her "thoughts" on daily living. One would find it hard not to be amused by some of her outlandish escapades. The photographs capture Maggie's personality and give the reader a glimpse into the world of Basset Hounds.BASSET HOUNDS RULE!!!!

Review: As the current owner of two basset hounds and someone who has shared her life with a total of five bassets so far, I feel Bill Stanton has really captured the true nature of a basset! The photos are delightful and imaginative and the captions really sum up what a basset hound is thinking (if they actually do take the time and energy to think)! This is not your basic "coffee-table" book; it's meant to be enjoyed many times! I'm ordering a second copy for my parents who are basset lovers by proxy.

Review: Basset hounds, long on ears and back and short on legs are truly lovable. Baggy, saggy faced hounds with deep, mournful eyes, they can surely find a place in the hearts of all who encounter them. Maggie is no exception. Her long eared grace and canine candor will certainly captivate all who read about her. A city dweller, the hound shows a certain savvy. She loves bagels, sesame seed bagels in particular. She knows which furniture to lumber over to and plop down on in her home. She knows how to turn on her large-eyed charm and get the loving best of her owners. A delightful hound and a wonderful book, readers will come away with more love for a basset hound.

Review: Bill Stanton does an excellent job of capturing the multi-faceted personality of the Basset Hound. The introduction "written" by Maggie sounded so much like my late Basset, Molly. Spunk. Audacity. Self-assurance. The photos are delightful and the quotes well-chosen to compliment the pictures. Regardless of whether you've ever had a Basset Hound, this book will entertain you. Even if you never had a dog, you'll get miles of smiles from this work. I purchased the book for my daughter who teaches third grade. She shares such books with her students. They love it. After looking it over, I'll probably get another to keep as a coffee table book. Thanks, Maggie, for being who you are and thanks, Bill, for capturing it.

Review: Bill Stanton has truely captured the spirit of my dog in this wonderful pictorial of Maggie. What a great picture book, it never fails to make me smile. I highly recommend this book to anyone who owns or is considering a basset hound as a family member.

Summary: Maggie's Way
Review: Bill Stanton's book, "Maggie's Way" is a fabulous book of photos of his beloved basset hound, Maggie. I had the pleasure of meeting Bill & Maggie and having my copy of this wonderful book autographed to my own four basset hounds. The great thing about the book is that Maggie portray's a very typical basset hound and I'm pleased that the world has the chance to see just how special they really are.

Review: Harley riders have a saying -- "If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand." Simply put, Bill Stanton has captured the love and wisdom gathered by sharing your world with one of God's true masterpieces. This is a book so good, it made me angry I didn't have the idea myself!
