Review: I am a lover of all things basset. But this book takes my enjoyment of the breed to new limits! Any one of these pictures and captions alone would be enough to make me stop, think and smile. To have an entire book of them is truly wonderful! The photography is superb. The expressions of the basset personality are most insightful. The sayings are both humorous and thought-provoking. A must for basset lovers. A real treat for those who appreciate good photography or like to reflect on life and find happiness. Bill Stanton's passion shines through in this excellent work of art.

Summary: Charming and touching! A must own book for basset owners!
Review: It is hard to decribe in words what it is like to be owned by a Basset Hound but Bill Stanton has captured their charm and unique attitude in these magnificent photos. Any Basset owner who has had their dog plop down on the ground and refuse to move in the middle of a walk, stubbornly claim the sofa as their domain, bury bagels, or totally ignore you when you try to get them to do something will laugh hysterically at the photos of Maggie doing the same. Highly recommend this book for anyone who is enthralled by this wonderful and sassy breed of dog.

Review: Maggie's Way is a wonderful book in many ways. It is a beautifully produced book with the most fantastic photographs. The captions can be witty, funny or sad and many other things. Review: Ok, everytime I see this cover I smile. Genuinely, smile. Maybe it's because I own a bassett/beagle and it's all so familiar. This book is ADORABLE! The pictures are awesome, plentiful and Maggie-nificent. Definate coffee table book for the beagle or bassett lover. Great gift idea too. You cant look at this book and NOT smile. It's contagious.

Review: The Basset Hound is a unique breed. They are kind, intelligent, slow, comedic, clumsy and very human. Maggie's Way captures the languid, lazy yet quite intelligent world of a Basset Hound. Being a Basset owner myself, and being completely besotted with this lovely, sweet and loyal creature - Maggie's world celebrates the life my dog leads, in beautiful angles, thought provoking captions and humourous interludes - so common in the Basset's nature. We've seen Wegman's photographic work with his dogs - Stanton now puts the Basset in view - as an object of beauty and delight. Lovely book!
