Review: A must have for any pug lover. Great Puns and photos. Fabulous coffee table book. Dratfield captures the very essence of these endearing dogs and leaves the reader all smiles. This book is the next best thing to having a Pug. Pug lovers - if you must have 1 book of pugs - this is it.

Review: As a major pug fan, I expected to be blown off my feet by a professional photographers take on all things "Puggy"...what I found was a book with a great cover shot and a somewhat dissapointing inside...The pugs seemed to be plopped into odd, un-natural settings. Cute? yes. A must have?, No.

Review: As an owner and true lover of pugs, especially black ones, I found this book to be charming and humorous.... The sepia toned pics are wonderful, and Mr. Dratfield did a terrific job encompassing all aspects of the wonderful pug personality... my copy is almost worn out!!! Highly recommended for any pug lover.

Summary: So so--even if you love pugs
Review: Don't get me wrong, I adore pugs, but think about it: if these weren't photos of the cutest dog breed in extistence, would you still like it? I think I'd find the puns unfunny, many of the set-ups trite, and the book as a whole rather thin. The good thing I have to say is that it shows how well fawn pugs photograph in sepia.
