Summary: Absolute Must-Read!
Review: This is a tremendous book for every reader. This book recounts some of the greatest battles in a concise, easy-to-read narrative. It also explains a tremendous training event in the lives of Marine recruits and how it is used to their benefit. Most of all, this book is about courage, commitment and honor. It is about the heroism and sacrifice of members of the Corps. Never have I before read a book that inspired so much pride to be an American. I also appreciate, now more than ever, what our military does to protect freedom - worldwide. This is a revealing look into our history and it is completely engaging from beginning to end.

Review: This is the best book I've read in a long time! Woulfe not only describes how the Marines make warriors, but also gives a in-depth battle history of the United States Marine Corps. Half of the book is history: Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Kuwait, Somalia, Liberia, even Oklahoma City bombing and LA Riots, he covers all of it.
