Rating: Summary: great book! Review: I can't even count the ways I love this book. I enjoyed (and got hot) reading every story, and I even read a few to my boyfriend with great results. Three cheers for Alison Tyler!
Rating: Summary: A gift that definitely keeps on giving Review: I got this book as a graduation present from my girlfriend -- she actually got me all three in the series, but I've only read this one so far. My favorite story by far was "Your Wish is My Command" about two depraved sorority chicks. My wish is that something like that had happened to me during the last four years, but oh well. I also liked "Quiet, Quiet" about having sex in a partner's mother's bed during a party. It was a kinky and hot piece of writing. I'm looking forward to reading the other two books.
Rating: Summary: Sexy, fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously Review: I have to review lots of erotica books in my line of work and I can tell you that many of them aspire to dizzying heights of self-importance. This book was great fun and never once even tried to convince me, the reader, that it was anything more than a collection of stories designed to excite and titillate. There's a range of writing here, it's true, but overall, it's a good mix that I found wholly entertaining. Volume II is just as good as this one!
Rating: Summary: The stories are Short and hot Review: I like this book. OK, we like this book. It's started it's fair share of naughty nights. The stories are short which seems to have bothered some. I however like the short length of the stories. The cover most of the regular fantasy's, with the occasional interesting twist. Most of the stories are fun reading with steamy scemes/scenio's.They are steamy, but they are far from cutting edge. The book seems to be aimed towards making a person comfortable with reading some erotica. If you are a hard core erotica reader this might be too tame for you. If you are a couple looking for something to read to start of your romantic time together then I'd really recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Good but not great Review: I liked the stories and thought they were entertaining and erotic, but I think they could have gone a little further into true eroticism, and less further into simple vulgarity. I much more enjoyed the Bedtime Stories for Women by Nancy Madore, which were written without any vulgarity at all, but which contained the most erotic scenes I have ever read in a book. Another runner up would be Pleasures, but even that one was not as erotic as these others.
Rating: Summary: Nughty is as Naughty does. Review: I read this volume in about three or four sittings. It's my first Alison Tyler book and won't be my last. The stories are filled with lots of good eroticism and are, as they say, "dead sexy". What I liked most was that the stories were quick reads, that they got to the point right off the bat and I didn't have to slough through lots of pages to get to the good stuff. A very well done erotic anthology.
Rating: Summary: crude not interesting writing Review: I was disappointed with this book. Was expecting well written erotic tales not this stuff.
Rating: Summary: Explicit Erotica Review: I've read the Naughty Stories series out of order, and I think volume 2 is my favorite. But this book made an impact on me. The stories were all unique to me. I get tired of reading collections that are chock-full of reprints. The book's opener is a winner: Appraising Love by Dante Davidson, set at the Antiques Roadshow. But other pieces were equally stellar, especially "Underwater" by Emilie Paris about a woman's love of young surfer boys and "Lonesome Highway" by Christy Michaels about a stripper and two female cops. Okay, so it couldn't happen in real life...but this is fantasy, right? And it worked for me. "Curtain Call," by Thomas S. Roche was also exceptional, about an exhibitionist girl who puts on a show for one lucky neighbor. The wide range of fantasies kept my interest from start to finish.
Rating: Summary: A sexy 26-story anthology... Review: It's my experience that many erotic collections are on the skimpy side-too few stories to keep the heat up. This book is really filled with a hot assortment of stories that cover a wide range of sexy themes-fantasies, spanking, back-door sex, tickling, girl-girl stories, sex toys, and much more. The book includes some really good writers, too, like M. Christian and Thomas Roche. Buy it. You'll be glad you did!!
Rating: Summary: Great writing, great stories Review: It's not often that I like every story in any book with several, but that's just what happened with this book. I really did enjoy each and every story. Though most of the stories were on the light side (rather than that ugly dark kind of erotica that some folks think is sexy), the diversity among the writers was refreshing. Several different voices, which I liked. And now I see there are other books in this series! Yea! I would highly recommend this book to others. Erotica needs more books like this very entertaining one!
