Summary: A Confession of fun!
Review: I thought this book was hilarious! I could not put it down and quickly bought "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan" after I finished the first installment. Becky is very human, very female and I think many women can relate to her addiction. I recommended this book to many of my friends and I know they loved this book as much as I did. Very similar to Bridget Jones but I found "Confessions" more entertaining. A must read!

Review: I love Becky!! She is an absolute scream. I could relate to so much of this book. Becky, while seemingly always in over her head, still manages to maintain a good outlook and a positive view. The character keeps a running commentary in her head justifying her purchases, and kept me laughing out loud. Also, highly recommend the sequel, Shopaholic takes Manhattan

Summary: Really bad book
Review: This was a really terrible book. The charatcter was a frivolous BRAT to whom I had NO sympathy. The love story was ridiculous. The end made NO sense. She didn't learn anything except how to use her VISA card. I am only glad that I borrowed the book from the library so my total loss was the 2 hours I spent skimming this dreadful book. Don't waste your time or money.

Review: This book was a hysterical view of the one quality all women share: shopping. As a girl who also prefers clothing et. al. over eating and paying bills - certainly somthing to relate to. Hilarious, charming - written with such a great British sense of humor. Highly recommend!

Summary: I am Rebecca Bloomwood.
Review: I am by no means an avid reader, but I saw this book and felt an instant connection to Miss Bloomwood. I read it in two days which for me is quite an achievement. Anyone with a love of the finer things in life should enjoy this book. Rebecca lives a life she cannot afford but everyone thinks that she can. She loves the fabulous parts of fashion, dining and bargain shopping. If you shop to enhance your life and the lives of others this is the book for you!

Summary: definatly a dissapointment
Review: I must admit that I'm a snob for these "queen for a day" type books. They're quick and enjoyable. This story was a fairytale, a cute plot, kept me reading (thus the two stars). However, the end was rushed and not thought out well. So she gets a new job and her life turns around. Does she just forget about her old job and work? There's no conclusion. She literally dumps her past, and pays it away. After dragging on about this woman's shopping disease and all of the problems it causes, to have it wrap up so swiftly and unthoughtfully is a waste to this potentially sweet story.

Summary: relaxing & humorous
Review: while reading this book i saw myself in becky's character.i can pretty much relate to her indiscrimate spending habits and her excuses to buy useless things. i just wish the author could have focused some more to becky & suze friendship.
this book has such universal appeal that most women from any part of the world and across all age groups can relate to. it tackled a very common yet serious problem,i.e. poor handling of finances, in a very light and humorous way. it is so engrossing that i cannot put the book down. i cant wait to read the sequel!

Summary: I am not alone!
Review: This book speaks to all the shopaholic women out there.. which is most of us. While I could commiserate with the bills piling up, I could totally relate to how she looks at each outfit assessing it the way a magazine does... blouse - Banana Republic, skirt - DKNY, boots - Nine West. Its was great! And of course you can help but to applaud when her world finally turns itself right side up! Its every shopaholics dream come true! Great read!!

Summary: Slow starter, but gets good.
Review: It actually took me a while to finish this book because I was bored with it in the begining. I felt that the main character was irritating, stupid and boring. Finally when i got to the middle of the book it started getting a lot more interesting and I started actually feeling sorry for her. It has a great ending and i actually bought the next book in the series.

Summary: It Was Like Reading My Diary
Review: It was scary! I thought this book would be likehearted entertainment because I of course had put all of my financial missteps behind and could laugh at the good days of dodging creditors. But within ten pages I felt mighty uncomfortable but highly entertained because no matter how bad her mistakes you could always empathize! Easy read with great characters! Shopaholic Takes Manhattan wasn't as good but still entertaining (after a couple of chapters you do begin to loss patience, get a grip for crying out loud!)
