Summary: LOVED it!
Review: don't let the name of this book fool you. it ISN'T all about shopping. granted it is based around becky's incredible ability to spend $ she doesn't have and dig herself in a rather huge hole but it isn't entirely what the book is about. yes shopaholics every where will LOVE this book, but there are us frugal ppl who find it incredibly enjoyable as well. i enjoyed this book so much that i read it in 2 sittings and immideately picked up the second one in the series after i was done. i just couldn't wait to find out what becky was going to do next. it took me a few more sittings to finish the last one simply b/c i didn't want the series to end!

Summary: What a hoot! Even if some of it does hit close to home...
Review: For me, the best things about Becky are the conversations she has with herself about whatever's foremost on her mind at any given moment, and the way her imagination runs away with her only to have reality tap her on the shoulder, sometimes after she's momentarily forgotten where the line is between the two. My best friend and I have laughed about sharing that common trait between us for years, and I'm going to make sure she reads this book - Becky's musings to herself sound a lot like some of the the emails we send each other!Becky's being a shopaholic is mostly a vehicle to introduce us to this character, who is, when we meet her, more than a little at sea about where she's going in life, and who shares with us her obsessions and neuroses about whatever's going on at the moment - her love life, her money, her bills, her career, her parents, her neighbors, her best friend. She also sometimes shares with us, between chapters, letters she's received from creditors, which made me flinch while I was laughing, having once been in similar shoes (mercifully a long time ago). I thoroughly enjoyed myself from cover to cover, and laughed out loud several times throughout this book. My highest praise is that I hated to see it end, even though the ending was a little bit pat and predictable. If you're like me and don't have a lot of time for pleasure reading, but miss it a lot, this is a good choice. It's a fast read and a lot of fun.

Summary: What a Rip-off! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
Review: This book is slow, stupid, and unimaginative. The only people who might like this book are other shopaholics looking for some lame excuse to waste their money. This is the first time I'm reviewing a book, and I'm doing so to try and save other people's money. DON'T BUY IT! Shopping is fun, but this book makes it a disappointment. I am really bummed I wasted my valuable time on this.

Summary: SHOPAHOLICS UNITE
Review: One word! HILARIOUS! Laugh out loud! Rebecca, our heroine in this series of charming books is the kind of woman we can all relate to. Swiping her credit card sends some unexplained pleasure into her life. Her hilarious attempts of swaying the banks and creditors to sympathise with her left me thinking about this book and giggling even when I wasnt reading it! A girlfriend of mine was laughing out loud one day and I asked her what was so funny,and she replied, "Oh I remembered a line from SHOPAHOLIC!"
Ms.Kinsella, three books are not enough! How about
SHOPAHOLIC: BABY MAKES THREE or SHOPAHOLIC MOVES TO FRANCE! And I speak for alot of readers!

Summary: Bible of Shopaholics
Review: This is definitely the cutest book about a helplessly obsessed shopaholic living in London, Ms. Becky Bloomwood, a writer for the ¡§Successful Savings.¡¨ This girly ¡§confession¡¨ contains all of Becky¡¦s anecdotes which ranges from racing after the season¡¦s must-haves and being chased by ominous letters from Visa and her bank. She tried to stop her incurable addiction, however, it seems like the only remedy to her condition is to get herself ¡§a little something¡K just a little something.¡¨ The author Sophie Kinsella wrote wonderful passages about Becky¡¦s internal conflicts and monologues, they are absolutely, ridiculously hilarious. This is a must-read for all the shopaholics because one really can relate to Becky. J

Summary: The Diva of Designer Clothes
Review: When I first saw this book in Barnes and Noble, I knew it was for me. With its pink cover (I bought the small paperback version) and the word "shop" in its title, I fell in love with Becky (who shares the same name as me, incidentally!) immediately. Even though many say Becky's attempts to crawl out of her deep self-dug whole of debt are annoying, I say everyone has a little bit of a shopaholic inside them. A real easy and witty read, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is the perfect match for any girl obsessed by the shopping world. Sophie Kinsella deserves every good review she gets.

Summary: Shopaholic
Review: I personally have to admit that I chose this book by it's cover. It looks interesting and seemed light headed to read. I was looking forward to a more fiction, non realistic story without depts and angles much in the characters and plot. Sophie Kinsella had proved that all wrong. I was glued to the book from the begining to the end and was very much inspired by the main character in the book.
Rebecca Bloomwood has characteristics that you can and can't find in the real world. Her character exagerate what's inside many people. She was able to do all ordinary things, but at the same time we're able to see her other side of everything. I think that's the best way to help me relate to the characters in the book.
I was inspired deeply by Rebecca, and her optimistic ideas that changed my view of life.

Summary: You too Are A Shopaholic
Review: No matter what any of you say if you are on this page that means that you are a shopaholic every time that you see a sale you must buy something every time you get your credit card bill you nearly have a heart attack. Well that is what is happening with Becky she tries to manage her money by not buying anything that she doesn't need and trust me we have all been there and also it never works if you are a shopaholic you end up needing to cut your credit cards and only leave the house with enough money to get a cab if you absoululey need it. I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed Bridget Jones's Diary, The Princess Diaries, or The Nanny Diaries. Trust me it is all good read this as soon as you can!!!

Summary: Read all 3 in 4 days
Review: I originally thought that this book would be sort of superficial, shallow, and just plain boring. However, as soon as the first chapter I knew that I had a winner. I stayed up late just to read the whole thing in two days! The main character's thought processes mimic those of any girl who loves to shop. I especially enjoyed the other two books which are just as good as the first. Read, enjoy, pass it on...
