Summary: She's Done Nicely
Review: In She Comes Undone, Wally Lamb creates a most memorable and damaged character with Dolores Price. The sheer pain and humilation this woman goes through from rape to obesity, a fractured family life and divorce tends to push the character and reader over the edge into depression and despair. Yet this is were Lamb gets his awards, the writing transitions smoothly as you see Delores progress from victim to a scared, jaded survivor. The book is written so well in first person one finds it hard to believe that the author is a man. The only drawback of the book was that the author throws every terrible possible scenerio at Delores to overcome which almost makes this a drama fest, however strong character development, a tight plot and keen details prevent She's Come Undone from being overdone.

Review: This is one of those book were you can't wait till the next page and the page after that. I was hooked on it untill the very end. I must say I didn't understand the ending very much...but I will surely read it again.

Summary: READ THIS BOOK!
Review: I just finished this book only a few minutes ago and I absolutely loved it! I'm in college and have very little to for my own reading in the midst of reading for school. This is the first book I picked up since my semester ended and I'm glad I chose it. I think every young woman can relate to Dolores, whether the issues are the same or not. One does not have to be overweight to feel Dolores' pain of being alone; everyone has felt that at least once in their lives. We all have moments when we feel as if our lives are spinning in a negative direction and I feel like Dolores Price's story is inspiring to anyone and everyone who has ever felt as if they could no longer go on. "She's Come Undone: is a story of a girl becoming a woman who struggles through life and finds the courage to fight the battle, no matter how hard it gets. There were many times when she almost gave up, but there was always a drive inside her that kept her going. I reccomend this book to everyone because we can all relate to the rocky road of life even if we may not be able to relate our issues as closely to Dolores'. This book is a page-turner; I'm just about to start Wally Lamb's other novel, "I Know This Much is True."

Summary: excellent
Review: I found myself feeling lost after I finished this book. I kept wanting to learn what was going on now in Doloreses life! This book will make you laugh, whince, shake your head, and most of all...it will make you cry. I think the most fascinating thing about it, is that it was written by a man! EXCELLENT read.
