Rating: Summary: stupid book Review: a sheer waste of time. 1 * was the least i could give
Rating: Summary: Fast read! Review: I thought this was a pretty good book. The plot was interesting and unique. I finished in just over a day and I am not a big reader. There was plenty going on to pique my interest. Not as good as "The Partner", but solid none the less.
Rating: Summary: John Grisham meets Tom Clancy! Review: I just finished reading this book..and all I could say that this is Grisham's finest work yet! The plot turns I will admit does take some getting used to beacuse he is intermingling many plot lines(I counted five). He is introdcing new characters just when you get totally involved with one and it could get annoying. But overall, the whole book suspenseful in the tradition of Tom Clancy(eek)and John Le Carre or Robert Ludlum. I think he may have crossed over some territory well established by these authors, he is the new kid on the block and may not be welcome by all. Good Luck Grisham!
Rating: Summary: Great until the end. Review: Good story with interesting characters. Carries you along with fast paced action. The ending was typical Grisham, predictable. So you know that you movie ending will be better.
Rating: Summary: Classic Grisham! Review: I finished The Brethren on the same day I bought it. Yes, it is that good! While not outstanding like The Firm it is as good as The Rainmaker and Runaway Jury. Read this book by the fire or on a beach. Either way you will enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Awesome page turner! Review: Great page turner! I'm not quite done yet, but it's a GREAT story line so far!
Rating: Summary: Another great one! Review: Admittedly, I'm biased: I have read and enjoyed all the Grisham books, five of them last year alone. The Brethren is a fun, great read, and the author easily combines political intrigue with one of his favorite topics: people scheming over money that does not belong to them (see The Testament, The Partner). This is a very enjoyable book, and Teddy Maynard, Aaron Lake and the three judges are some of Grisham's finest and deepest characters. As long as the author keeps churning out this quality of work, I will keep standing in line to buy it, and so should you.
Rating: Summary: Better Than The Other Grisham Books I've Read Review: This book was pretty good plot-wise. I like the way Grisham had two parallel plots running and then wove the two together. Good job! But I still don't like his prose or his characters. For me, his people just aren't real and I don't care what happens to them. But if you're a real Grisham fan, this book won't let you down!
Rating: Summary: amazing! Review: Makes a great read. grisham shows his class. I recommend it!
Rating: Summary: A Highly Recommendor Book Review: The book the brethen is an amazing book it is far so different from any other book that grisham has ever written because he focuses on the same topic of law but he also writes his books in many different ways with different ideas, I recommend this book because once you start you don't want to put it down till you get to the finish line. a great fun book.
