Summary: WHAT IS IT ABOUT GRISHAM?
Review: I swore I would never read another Grisham book. I'm sure Grisham doesn't care--he has plenty of fans and doesn't need me! But so many CAN'T be wrong and me right! So--I tried this book and gave Grisham another chance. In my opinion, he failed miserably! The beginning of the book is so boring I almost gave up during the first chapter. I'll give Grisham this, he does do a good job of weaving the two plot strands together and he is good at plotting. His plots, however, all turn out to be formulaic and anti-climactic. I think men would like Grisham's books a lot more than women--he has yet to create a good and believable female character. Understandable. Well, I hated the book, but I can't say Grisham is bad. He does, after all, enthrall millions of readers so he has to be doing something right. If you're a Grisham fan, buy this book. If not, skip it. It's not even Grisham's best!

Summary: Grisham's Latest
Review: As you begin the book the plot appears to be somewhat transpearant and easy to decipher. However it starts to take enough twist and turns to make it interesting. The bringing together of two worlds that seemigly would never cross keeps you hooked as the details unfold. If you read alot and are into national intrigue/criminal law this book may seem to stretch plausibility at times but overall makes for a fun read that keeps you turning pages until the end. Possibly not Mr. Grisham's best work but well worth curling up with.

Summary: He's Done it Again...another best seller!
Review: Grisham created another group of memorable caracters. I always invision what hollywood actors will play what roll and in what city will they do the filming. I always wish they would try to set the plot traveling through Alaska on the state ferries, on which I am a Chief Purser ( that's right...the job that "Goffer" had on the TV show "Love Boat" we refer to ours as the "Lust Boat"

Summary: So Far THE BEST YET!
Review: I just bought The Brethren right when it hit the shelves, and I have read the first six chapters! It is absolutely THE BEST Grisham Book Ever, and I know that because I have read the other 10. There is a twist in the book that is not in the book cover, and it is worth reading for. I will give you a hint, it has to do with November 2.

THIS IS THE BEST GRISHAM BOOK EVER

USA TODAY IS WRONG!

BUY IT AND YOU WILL SEE!

Summary: Fast Read! Oh boy oh boy!
Review: I just finished reading this book and what an amazing thriller!

Very good story line and unlike his other anti-climactic endings this one is a good one.

I highly recommend this book!

Summary: They are never the same...
Review: With the majority of mass market autors, you are guaranteed the same kind of read over and over. Not grisham. The Brethren focuses on a little clan of judges in a low security prison setting up a get rich quick scheme that will guarantee they are set up for good after jail. They lure the men in through placing ads in gay magazine and then track down the men who reply. This leads to the perfect extortion scheme because these men don't want to be found. They make a mistake with one of the men and it just gets better. if you like Grisham, you'll love the Brethren. Not his best, but great anyway, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Pretty good book
Review: I got stuck on a couple of Grisham's books and was unable to finish them (the rainmaker and one other i can't remember the name of), but this one was good. not really like the other recent books, i liked how many people were tied into the plot who seemingly had nothing to do with one another. there was no love interest, but that was okay.
