Review: This sweeping epic that spans 4 generations starts off with the story of a diamond hunter in turn of the century colonial Dutch South Africa. Our main character suffers heartbreaking losses, and ultimately pays the price for his own vengeance. His daughter Kate continues to build the company empire, emerging as a powerful, controlling business woman and mother. In her own attempts to manipulate her family's destiny, she suffers tragic loss...however, she regains hope with her twin grand-daughters in modern corporate America. The the story turns to a comtemporary battle of good and evil as Kate Blackwell faces the conclusion of her family's bittersweet legacy.

Summary: My all time favorite book by Sidney Sheldon.
Review: The plot on this book was absolutely fascinating. I have read this book so many times that I could probably recite it back. Everytime I feel like reading a good book, this one always tops my list. I would appreciate it if anyone could let me know how I could get a hold of the movie on tape. Review: I finished this book in one sitting. It was gripping from beginning to end. I recommend it to everyone that will listen. The plot is so well written. Normally I can guess an ending half way throught the book. This book was different. I just do not know what to say. Everyone should read it.
