Rating: Summary: The best twisted plot I have ever encountered! Review: From page 1, I literally couldn't put this book down. The inevitable plots and endings kept me on edge. My mom got tired of my gasps and decided that she would have to read this "extraordinary novel". She completely agrees with me. I was stunned up until the very end.
Rating: Summary: woman power in bussines Review: this is a very good and exciting book. i always love sidney sheldon and this book is one of my favorite. the story becomes more and more crazy. i really recommended this book to all sidney sheldon fans
Rating: Summary: My all time favorite Sheldon!!! Review: I was 15 when I first read this GREAT book. The hope of finding a book that captures my imagination and attention as well as this one did has made me an avid reader since then. I have reread this book about 5 times!!!! All of the characters are so memorable and interesting!!! This is the only book I have ever read that makes we wish that fictional characters existed!!(Except for Eve!!) I don't want to give anything away....so just trust me....IF YOU LIKE SHELDON BOOKS...THIS IS FAR AND AWAY HIS BEST. p.s. If Tomorrow Comes is his second best.
Rating: Summary: Master of the Best-Sellers by M. Boucher Review: Again, Sidney Sheldon pens a compelling novel that keeps you glued to the page. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the outrageous fate... or should I say «face»... of his character Eve. It's a bit too much. Still, MASTER OF THE GAME is an engrossing read.
Rating: Summary: Fast-Paced, Intrique - One of his BEST Review: Generally speaking, Sidney Sheldon moves things along with just the right amount of intrique. This is one of his very best (in my opinion) novels. Easy reading, excellent character development, story moves-so you turn pages quickly wanting to learn what happens next - and no dissappointments. When you finish - you just want another good book - try move of Sheldon's (Rage of Angels) or Stuart Woods books such as - Choke, Dead in the Water, and Swimming to Catalina.
Rating: Summary: A Book I Couldnt Put Down Review: This book was extremely difficult to put down...i started from page one and couldnt stop until, suddenly, it was over...my only complaint about the book was a little bit extremity in some of the scenes and information...i think that can be contrasted w/ the not being able to put it down so it all ended in a nice common ground for my pleasure to read.
Rating: Summary: Sidney Sheldon is truly the Master of the Game. Review: This book was quite intriguing, I could not put it down. Sidney Sheldon is extremely good at describing the characters in this book. I had a clear mental picture of every character and every scene. I am not a big reader, but this book and other Sidney Sheldon books have started me on a huge reading rampage.
Rating: Summary: Multi-generational saga fails due to its predictability. Review: This was a good page-turner for the beach and the hammock. Pro: the descriptions of South Africa were educational and full of feeling. Con: Kate's tricks were predictable and changed nothing of the stereotype of the world's industrial moguls.
Rating: Summary: THE book to be taken to a desert island!! Review: I have already adopted a nickname for this book..."My Bible"...I read a little bit of all the best scenes in it almost every day...I was extremely fortunate in having heard of Sheldon when I did, and even more when I bought this book. One never would think a book could reach such a standard of excellence, but now I know such a book can. I make mine the words of a critic that appear in almost all- if not all- of his books: "If you want a novel you simply cannot put down, go to Sheldon." never before has a comment been so true. If I had to save A book to take with me to a desert island, doubtlessly this would be it. Thank you so much Mr. Sheldon for such an engrossing tale. This will stand eternally for me as a point of reference for the so-called "un-put-downable" read!
Rating: Summary: The best example of a contemporary Masterpiece! Review: People seem to forget what the phrase "to yield a good yarn" means...but not Mr. Sheldon. He has outdone himself with this book. I believe no-one will do any justice to this Masterpiece, no matter how praise-filled their commentary is. I just wanted to record, right here, that this book stands in a class of its own, just like the author. To say it is an excellent read, not only may be a bit redundant, but is also unnecessary, since that is basically the label that all his books carry. THIS one in particular. I simply love the way in which the Prologue starts at the end of the story (those who read it will know what I mean.) and then, breaking after the prologue, we are thrown back 100 odd years or so to see the protagonist- Kate Blackwell's- grandfather and his life on the edge of death in the South African desert seeking fortune. From there, we move forward and greet the new faces of the Blackwell family, which by the Epilogue, all come back, to the scene we knew since the Prologue- her ninetieth birthday celebration. Mr. Sheldon, I have no further comments but just an utmost desire to have everyone read this book. And more: defy anyone to read it and not like it.
