Summary: Top Drawer
Review: I really enjoyed this book, the first I have finished in the single gal genre. Fantastic! I found the book to be loads more engaging than Bridget Jones or the Hunting and Fishing number. Green makes Jemima stand out through her writing style and sophisticated use of language, it all splashes. Jemima posses the feelings and emotions that a lot of us who are less secure and lacking self esteem. She was intriguing and someone I would love to have as a friend. I gobbled the novel up in one sitting like gourmet ice cream and plan on reading it again. Divine and lovely.

Summary: Exactly what I hoped it would be
Review: Having read BJ twice and the sequel, I scoured Amazon.UK for similar books. I read the rveiews and bought Jemima J and a few others. I read it in 2 days. I couldn't put it down. It was just so real, so much of what women really feel like. But thankfully, not annoying or too farfetched not to be fun. I really enjoyed Jane Green's writing techniques. How she would use different voices, increase the suspense. Anyway, I just hope the rest of the books I bought are as good as this one. I guess I should admit I was a Jemima J. myself so I KNOW exactly how she feels. It is cool to read things that you feel yourself, but don't know how to put into words.

Summary: Awful!
Review: Oh please..this book was awful. Only if you get thin will you be happy and get prince charming? It just feeds into the horrible lookist society we are in. The writing was not terrible which disappointed me even more...it could have been a better book..if she hadn't copped out. Soo depressing!

Summary: My favorite book of all time
Review: This book was amazing. I could defiently relate to Jemima J. and with JJ. The book is every ugly ducklings fantasy. I was once an ugly duckling and you want people to notice you but untill you love yourself no matter how much weight u lost then no one will notice you. The book defiently showed that. I read the book in 12 hours and trust me I am not really a big reader. Yes the book does start off kind of slow but once you get through the first five chapters you never want to put it down. I cried at the end, because I was soooo sad that the book ended. I want to keep reading and follow jemima through her whole life. If you don't read this book you are missing out! It is defiently a beach book but make sure you will bring another book because you will finsh this book fast!

Summary: Absolutely Amazing! A Definite Must-Read!
Review: This book beats Bridget Jones by miles, hands-down and eyes closed. I heard about this book when I was in London a couple of years ago, but couldn't find it anywhere (sold out! ). This a fantastic, light and easy read that is impossible to put down. I read the book in one night I loved it so much. I felt like I really got to know some of London and LA at the same time, and I definitely identified with JJ's self-esteem issues because of a weight problem. I also know what its like living with skanky roommates. There is an amazing twist that really got me - you can't see it coming. Can't wait to get on to amazon's England site to order more Jane Green!

Summary: I HAVE READ ALL OF HER BOOKS..........
Review: and this one was my favourite. Once you pick it up it is very difficult to put down. I managed to read this particular one in one day, whilst on holiday.

I have just finished "Bookends' which has just been released here in the UK and again it is another surefire hit.

If you have never read one of Jane Green's books before, this is a great one to start with!

Summary: What an adventure...
Review: This book was great.. read the bits and pieces they had about it in the Cosmo magazine and could not wait for it to come out. There was a alot of truth.. in this book about her trials with her weight.. i was too stunned to find out she only weighed 206 pounds and as she was described as having 3 chins ect. I thought that was a bit false but its her story. Great read.. side splitting funny at the end of the book... and couldn't we say there was some definate "FATE.. DESTINY" kinda thing going on with Jemima and Ben through out the whole book... being at the place at the same time... seeing each other or not. Definatly a great read.

Summary: Not realistic!
Review: While I loved the title character, the story line was too predictable and unrealistic. Having a woman do so many things just to get a man, is ludicrous and the way that everything is focused on her weight and looks became really old. Although the ending was good, it to was predictable. I don't think this story could ever happen in real life, especially anyone lossing that much weight in such a short period of time. I also had an issue with the way Jemima was described, as having CHINS etc...and was expecting her to weigh a tremendous amount of weight, but then she only weighed a little over 200 pounds. I know women who weigh this much or more and they are not even close to being as BIG as Jemima is described. I thought this book was completly false.

Summary: Bridget is nothing compared to Jemima
Review: I received an advance copy of this book, started reading it last night at around 10 o'clock and read the whole thing in one sitting. Totally wonderful.
