Review: the stories are incrediable,the story titled boomerang love was the best love story i've ever read. you can almost imagine yourself as one of the couples. the detailed love scenes are so real like. the story of the football team who overcomes all odds to win the game with a little help from the sidelines. the lizard is a great character in the story. i wish that jimmy would have a lest one concert around okla. city.

Review: The thing about this book, is the fact that it gives Jimmy Buffet the chance to expand on some of his most famous characters. He has much more leeway here, than in a 3-minute song on the air. Reading this book makes listening to his songs that much more enjoyable, because you feel like you know the stories behind them.

Review: This book is full of great short stories that all make you want to go down to the islands and have a margarita. Jimmy Buffett has taken his patented escapism techniques that he's used in his music for so many years and applied them to his writing. Readers will get caught up in the lives of many people in many situations but they all have that distinct Buffett flavor that all parrotheads are looking for. Non Parotheads will no doubt enjoy the book as well because it is simply well written.

Review: This book is full of stories that JIMMY wrote himself using the ingenious imagination that we all wish we could have. The stories are fun to read, and if you are a PARROTHEAD, you'll realize that some of the stories are the prose versions of some of his songs. The stories are entertaining, and great to curl up with on a rainy day. I recommend this for PARROTHEADS, and anybody who just likes a nice short story. Happy reading!

Review: This book is great I just bought it yesterday and I'm already finished with it. I couldn't put it down. I'm not just say'n that cause I'm a devoted parrot head this book really is great. I highly suggest you try reading it.

Review: This book is masterful. The characters and familiar, yet intriguing. You always feel that there is more to the characters life and times, that a book can be written on each subject. I don't go that much for short stories because I usually find them too shallow, not enough setting or environment. This work is the exact opposite of everything I don't like about short stories.

Review: Well, if it's fine literature and prose you are looking for, you're looking in the wrong place. This collection of semi-ficticious and semi-autobiographical stories is a perfect escape. Both light-hearted and bitter-sweet, you will be swept away if that is what you are in need of. I've nearly worn out my copy, which sees most of its use in the cold winter months. If you've got cabin fever, this book holds the cure.
